My fiance and I had visited many hotel wedding chapels in Las Vegas before choosing the Bellagio Hotel. The only reason I hadn't even considered The Bellagio, was I asssumed it would be too pricey and out of our league. My fiance suggested we visit the chapel just for fun. The minute we stepped into the reception area of the chapels, we were greeted by warm, sincere smiles of people who really wanted to help us plan our perfect day. The reception area had a fragrant, floral scent that I can still remember. They were in fact the only wedding chapel we had visited to have elaborate, fresh floral arrangments scattered throughout the lobby and in their chapels. Every other chapel had cheap, fake arrangements... Las Vegas tacky! Aricela our wedding planner read my mind on just about everything I wanted our ceremony to be. She's an expert planner with a lot of great suggestions. Very professional and thorough. She even suggested we hold our reception in one of their lavishly decorated suites. She went thru menus with is and worked every detail out for us. She arranged to have custom bouquets made after I sent her a fabric swatch of my bridesmaid's dresses. She also put me in touch with the clergy who would be conducting the ceremony. I was able to liason with him prior to the wedding, so that he knew a little bit about us before meeting us. This made our out of town ceremony more personable and intimate. The day of the wedding everything went like clockwork. I had my hair and makeup done at the Bellagio hair salon and went straight to the posh bridal suite in the chapel. The grounds of the Bellagio are so stunning that we couldn't resist paying for an extra hour of photography. It was well worth it...the pictures are bridal magazine perfect!

Lawry's the Prime Rib Restaurant has always been one of my favorite restaurants. I had no idea they did weddings. When I approached them about reserving for a larger party, I was surprised to find out they actually have a wedding planner on site. Her name in Valerie Agee. She's a dynamo with the most radiant and magnificent smile I have every seen. She went thru the menus with us and helped us chose everything from appetizers, wedding cake, our favorite champagne for the toast and wines for dinner. She did her best to keep the costs down. The day of the wedding, we arrived at the restaurant and they showed us to our private room. The tables had been set up exactly as they were instructed to. The placecards were already on the tables. The room was completely enchanting complete with twinkling lights, candles in gleeming silver candelabras. The tables were very tasteful and elegantly decorated. The service was purely Lawry's... in other words impeccable. We were a motley crue of 35 in total and they had assigned us 3 of our very own private waitresses: who doted on us all night. The meal was exquisite as usual!
