I love the style of the photographers at Expressive. I had some trouble scheduling our engagement session, which was included in our package, but it was during the busy summer wedding season. I loved the pictures and can't wait for our wedding album. They will give us all of our images on a DVD, and we'll be able to share our pictures with lots of friends and family without paying the high studio print charges.

Bay Bakery and Delicatessen
I set up a tasting with Regina's, and the request was lost, forcing us to reschedule. We went back and had a very nice experience, but I would have preferred not to make the second trip. We received a gift certificate to their store from a raffle, so we did not look at any other bakeries. The cake was great and the prices are reasonable (starting at $2.50 a person, I believe).

Milwaukee Blooms has breathtaking flowers but can be difficult to work with. It was a difficult decision, but I decided to go with them because I was in love with some of their ideas. At one point during a consultation, when I explained that I couldn't exceed a certain price per centerpiece, the owner looked at my mom and told her to get a part-time job (she already works full-time, for the record). Not the best customer service!

DJ's on the Mix
I was very impressed by this classy company! We met with Matt, the owner, who took us through the entire preparation process and made it clear that the entertainment would go according to our plans. We're not big on chatty DJs or the garter toss/dollar dance types of traditions, and he was on the same page as us. I'm really excited for the music at our reception!

Mequon Country Club is a lovely reception site, with a huge room and floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the golf course. The food is fantastic, and the packages allowed us provide a great beer and wine selection without having an open bar. There have been three different coordinators there since we booked our wedding, which has been a bit of a challenge, but we were able to do our tasting early and get everything taken care of according to our schedule.

Vera's House of Bridals
I was lucky to work with Amie, a fantastic consultant at Vera's who found my perfect dress after listening carefully to the description of what I was looking for. Unfortunately, I went back with a friend to look for headpieces at their sample store and was treated very rudely by the staff. My dress came in several weeks late, and I wasn't told that they would be closed for an entire day for training, so I made a two-hour round trip for nothing (their website did not mention the closing). When I returned, they had a lot of trouble finding my dress, bringing out two dresses that weren't mine (and told me that they were) and the wrong veil. It was a frustrating experience that I never would have anticipated given how well my initial purchase went.

I had heard worrisome stories about dresses from David's Bridal but ended up getting my bridesmaids dresses there because there was a location near each girl and because they are so reasonable. The dresses arrived in three weeks, are beautiful, and the saleswomen were very flexible about exchanging a dress for a junior bridesmaid who grew more than expected. I also found dresses for my flower girls on clearance for $40 each. It was a great experience!
