The inspiration for our wedding is modern glam, with a rock-n-roll touch. Our colors will be primarily black and white, with small touches of pink.
Here are just a few inspiration boards that I have found that help showcase a bit of what we are looking for. But as mentioned before we are going for a modern glam theme with a rock-n-roll touch. Imagine Tuxes with Bowties with skull cuff-links and converse, Bouquets with feathers...etc.
My bridesmaids will be wearing the BCBG Ruffle Halter Top Dress. It is so cute, looks great on all of them and is so comfortable. Can't wait til they wear them!!
Here is a photo from the website, the dress actually goes to the knee and has pockets!
Here are some detail photos. I love the back of the halter!
So, with the little that I know how to do in photoshop I was able to create our Save the Date cards. We are going to print them as postcards and mail out.
FI and I had our E-pics done at the Neuroscience Institute in La Jolla a few weeks ago. The photos turned out amazing. We are in LOVE with our photographers, they picked out the location and the balloons were their idea too. Can't wait to see our wedding photos. All photos compliments of lunaphoto.
Fi and I have decided to have a cocktail hour on the rooftop at The Ivy directly after the ceremony. Then right after, the festivities will continue in the nightclub at The Ivy. Fi and I have decided to have a very un-wedding like reception. We are going to have a "flow" reception, with about 4-6 food stations and then the rest heavily passed hors d'oeuvres. We want our guests to be full enough as they would from a plated dinner, but have a many tastes. It all sounds great our mind, but we'll see how it turns out ;).
Here are photos of the nightclub.
We still don't have a reception venue yet, but we do know where we will say I Do! We have decided to make it official at Cuvier Park in La Jolla. The views are absolutely breathtaking, and our guests will be able to walk in grass instead of sand. We are so in LOVE with this space. Now we just need to decide where the party will be. Here is a pic of the park....
So as much as FI and I LOVE Cuvier Park for our ceremony, we have decided that it is to inconvienent and a bit of a hassle to have our ceremony in La Jolla and our reception in Downtown San Diego. So...we decided to have our ceremony on the rooftop at The Ivy. It is still beautiful, obviously not as stunning as Cuvier Park, but we have decided to at least do a Bridal Photo Shoot or Trash the Dress shoot at Cuvier Park so we still have our photos with the amazing backdrop.
Here is a photo of the new ceremony location.
