One of my clients first told me about Paper Source, and I eternally grateful! The first time I paid a visit to Paper Source, I ended up spening three hours in the store, grilling the staff about different projects. They were very helpful and patiently answered all of my questions. My first DIY project was my cousin's baby shower. I could not find invitations that went along with my theme. Although it was very time consuming, I was able to purchase everything I needed at Paper Source and made beautiful invites. I have become a regular and love thier workshops.

I am an online bride. I researched and planned as much as I possibly could online. I stumbled upon PaperStyle.com and fell in love with their invitations. I ordered a few samples and fell in love with them when I received them. I spended more than I had originally planned on the invitations. However, I do not regret it. They were exquisite and our guests raved about them!

When I asked my three closest girlfriends and my sister to be my bridesmaids I brought them to the Burke Williams spa. I told the girls, I was treating them to a day at the spa, and surprised them with notecards placed at each chair with a box of Sprinkles cupcakes. We spent a relaxing day filled with massages, facials and scrubs. It was everything I had hoped it would be. The staff was very accomodating and helped me plan the day perfectly.

I love Sprinkles cupcakes! Their red velvet cupcake is my absolute favorite. I have ordered cupcakes for different occassions and they have always been fresh and delicious.

My DH's husband's college room mate is a professional photographer. My DH insisted we hire his friend to shoot our wedding. This was the only vendor my DH really wanted us to book, so I obliged. However, my first choice was Jim Kennedy Photographers. Jim is truly incredible and so friendly. His work is amazing and I was very impressed. Thus the reason I am writing a vendor review even though we did not hire Jim to shoot our wedding.

La Quinta Resort & Club
Both my DH and I love the laid back, casual cool vibe of Palm Springs. The grounds at La Quinta are simply breathtaking. Our ceremony and reception was held at the "La Casa" location. The hacienda style went beautifully with the style of our wedding. My family spent an extended weekend at La Quinta, and we were treated very well. The staff is courteous and extremely helpful. My bridesmaids, sisters, Mom,aunts and I had our make up and hair done at the Yamaguchi Salon. It was a short drive from our villa, and the stylists were excellent. We spent a relaxing morning getting ready for the wedding. While the "boys" spent the morning golfing. The food, the staff, the site - was fantastic! We really couldn't have picked a better location that was more "us".

Although our wedding was held in the Palm Springs area, we are from Los Angeles. When we first started planning our wedding, we originally wanted to book vendors all located in the Palm Springs area. However, choosing a florist became quite an obstacle for us. We met with a few local florists, and we weren't very impressed. A few florists were stuck in the 80's, and those who were somewhat up to date, charged an arm and a leg for wedding flowers. I am still not quite sure why florist's pricing in this area is so high, but we were able to find exactly what we wanted for much less from an "out of town" vendor. We found Heavenly Blooms on theknot.com, and we instantly clicked. Jacklyn is passionate about what she does. It's easy to tell just by speaking with her and looking over her many, many portfolios. We paid approximately $4,000 for all of our bouquets, corsages, boutonnieres, ceremony decor, centerpieces and reception decor. Other florists were quoting us $6,500 to $8,000. My Mom brought centerpieces back home to Orange County and said they lasted over a week! Everything was perfect from my gorgeous bridal bouquet to the cake flowers. We could have not made a better decision by choosing Heavenly Blooms for our florist. I am very upset that we did not book Elysium Productions for our wedding. One of my girlfriends used them for her wedding and the video is amazing! I am basing this review soley on the video. However, she did say they were one of her favorite vendors.

I had done my research, and read all of the mixed reviews on Mon Amie Bridal Salon. However, my Mom is from the OC and she insisted we make an appointment. I agreed and we went. My salesperson Caitlin was friendly and seemed not as pushy as the others. We told her the style of dresses I was interested in and she showed us several dresses. We spent a good part of the day admiring dresses, then I fell in love with a Lazaro gown. Both my Mom and I knew it was "the one". I wanted to look at other bridal salons and check for better prices. However, my Mom insisted on purchasing the dress on the spot. Since my Mom was paying for my dress, I didn't argue. However, when we started discussing alterations, I firmly told my Mom and Caitlin I would be bringing the dress to my friend for alterations. After reading many horrible reviews about over priced alterations that were never done, I did not want to take a chance. We did recieve a 10% discount on the dress. My dress arrived two weeks earlier than we were told. When I went in to pick up the dress, they tried to get me to have the alterations done through Mon Amie. I didn't crack from the pressure and declined. It is true, once the sale is made, the customer service is not the same at all.
