This is the most beautiful location, Cliff House Inn and Shoals Restaurant. It was even voted into the Top 10 seafood spots by the sea by Sunset Magazine a few years ago. We have never eaten there, but always wanted to so we are anxious to be there.

This is what the article said, "Hidden inside the Cliff House Inn, north of Ventura, the Shoals serves fine and fresh seafood: sea bass, shrimp, scallops, calamari, and clams, bathed in delicious sauces. The restaurant fills up fast, so make reservations. Just beyond the patio tables lies the surf break of Mussel Shoals; from here on a summer night, you might see the dark forms of dolphins gliding past, backlit by glittering moonlight."

Would that be amazing to have  dolphins swimming by in the background? I love those kinds...Our ceremony and reception dinner site photo 1 of wedding crashers.

Our Wedding Cake photo 1

We wanted to share a picture of the wedding cake Gerry and I selected. We found our wedding cake at Montecito Bakery. This cake feeds 25 people, so we will have extra to bring home and save for our first anniversary.

We see many traditional wedding photos of couples cutting their wedding cake together. Gerry and I would love to have a great photo with a great cake, so we took extra care in searching for one to fit our theme colors and taste. Finding someone to spend the rest of your life with is a gift. That's why the shape of this cake is important to us.

The cake does have to be picked up the day of the wedding because it cannot be delivered. It also will not have a cake stand so I just have to get a board large enough for it to sit on and cover it with fabric over foil. OR buy something to place it on. We don't know what the measurements are of the cake yet.

Here it is! WE BOTH LOVE IT! I hope you can see the picture below.

My fiance and I have been engaged for two years. This is his second marriage and my first. I love the planning process, however only have a tiny budget !  Instead of having 60 people with a DJ and a 4 hour event, we are having 14 people, beach side in Ventura for an intimate ceremony and dinner watching the sunset on the ocean! I am SO HAPPY. Truely a dream location that I used to pass by while going shopping when I was growing up in Southern California!

We have two daughters, ages 6 and 8 years-old. (From my fiances first marriage). They live with us 26 days of the month and see their birth mom every other weekend. I am finding this to be among one of my greatest challenges...working full-time, raising two school aged young children and planning my first wedding on a budget of $3,000. WOW! Help!

I love cooking, photography, scrapbooking, swimming, watching movies and eating sushi. I am a big fan of dogs and the ocean...okay not necessarily in that order.

I have lived in all different types of places, the city (Queens NYC), the mountains (Sierra Nevadas in Northern California), the valley (wine country) and the ocean (near Santa Barbara). I have been blessed to have had the chance to live in different areas and get to know all different types of people.
