Ladies, I'm finally back!!! The wedding was this past Saturday and it was completely surreal! It still feels like it was all a dream and I'm going to wake up and it will be 6 months away. Haha.
I loved every moment of the wedding! It was so amazing and it was really everything I wanted and could not have asked for more. Not that every single thing went perfectly, but I really didn't care that much on the day of, I was just enjoying my wonderful new hubby, my family, and friends! It was a magical, fairy tale day!!!
I still have a ton of things to do, so for now I will not do a full play by play recap. Here's a few pics and some highlights! Enjoy!
Link to a ton of detail pics taken by Patty Lee of 8 Events, my DOC:
10 min. before we were going to leave, one of my BM's zipper broke and her dress was split open. Maria Chang came to the rescue and sewed her back into her dress like the pro that she is. Just as she was finishing up, another BM's dress split!!! We were running late as it was, so we just left and Maria sewed her in the limo!! LOL. Definitely memorable getting ready time.
Nicole Shaffer, my florist, dropped off my flowers. She did an unbelievable job with my bouquet. It was the most GIANT bouquet of peonies I've ever seen. I LOVED it!!! That thing probably weighed about 10 lbs!
I was totally fine and not nervous at all until we got to the church. Then I got super nervous as I was waiting in the limo when everyone was lining up. Again, Maria totally helped me calm down and made sure I was perfect to walk down the aisle. I can't even explain how much I <3 her.
Walking down the aisle with my dad was such an incredible experience. I couldn't see that well out of my blusher, but I could still see people's faces near me. It was so magical. For the first half of the walk, I was looking at guests near me, so I was smiling. But as soon as I started looking at DH I broke down and starting tearing. My dad said I was shaking. By the time I got to the front I was trying really hard not to wimper out loud, but I'm pretty sure I was. My mom whispered really loudly, "Jenny, don't cry!" because she said I was making everyone cry. Haha. I think all of my BMs were crying and some of the GM. DH was trying really hard to hold it in, and he told he was trying to look away so he wouldn't cry. But then he looked my my sister (my MOH) and his sister (one of my BM) who were standing closest to him, and he couldn't hold it in anymore. By the time I got up to the front with him, he had tears streaming down his face. It was the sweetest moment ever! He NEVER cries and I really didn't expect him to cry. I was watching a video back later and one of the musicians, the cello player, was crying!!! LOL. We did the traditial vows, and DH was crying so much that he would barely get the words out, it was just a whisper through his tears and I'm sure nobody could hear him, but I could hear him and it was so amazing and emotional.
My only regret from the ceremony was that my MOH didn't fix my veil enough after my dad flipped it. It was kind of in my face during the ceremony and I think people couldn't see my face. She didn't know because she was behind me and there was a lot of veil. Oh well.
DH's expression in this pic makes me tear up every time.
Moms and Aunts:
We did a Vanity Fair style photo shoot with the bridal party. I can't wait to see Jen Skog's pics!!!
Then DH and I did some bride/groom pics with Jen and Maria near the hotel and Grace Cathedral. We were running a bit short on time so we weren't able to get as many pics as we wanted. We only had about an hour or so. Hopefully she was able to get some good pics. Guess we'll have to do a day after session for the rest.
We had a waiting room for me and DH with hor dourves and cocktails for us before we had to go into the reception. My dress was kind of falling so Maria unzipped me and was pulling it up. But as she was pulling it up, my zipper broke! She said this was a record, 3 zipper failures in one wedding! LOL. But she sewed me right in without missing a beat. So all was well. And I kept stepping on my dress in the front during pictures so she pinned that up somehow too so it was perfect. Seriously, what would I have done without her???
Our first dance was really fun, even though I was super nervous right before we entered. It was really hard to do a foxtrot in that dress, but we did our best and everyone seemed to enjoy it. :)

The reception went by super fast! The whole thing felt like 30 minutes to me. Everything went really smoothly during the reception. Patty Lee, my DOC made the whole day run so well. She's awesome!!! The ballroom looked so beautiful. I couldn't believe this was my wedding! It was so surreal to see everything that I had planned come together!
The dessert bar was a HUGE hit! We hid it behind the curtain and after dinner, they raised the curtain to reveal it so it was big surprise to everyone. Patty did an AMAZING job with the setup, it was so much better than what I had pictured!!!
One of my favorite moments of the night was our last song. The ballroom was pretty much empty at this point, except for some of our bridal party and our family. Daniel wanted the DJ to play "I Swear" by All 4 One (I know, totally cheesy, but it's a classic song that brings us back! Haha). DH and I had such an amazing intimate moment in the middle of the dance floor all alone, we were both crying again. And then halfway through our bridal party came out onto the dance floor and held hands and surrounded us in a big circle and were singing along and swaying. Haha. It sounds so awful and cheesy but it was such an amazing moment full of emotion and geniune happiness. We literally felt surrounded by love!
After the reception, my parents and BMs and florist were SO amazing and on the ball with the cleaning. I really didn't have to do much.
DH and I and some of the bridal party headed up to the Top of the Mark after the reception. It's on the 17th floor of the hotel, with an amazing panoramic view of the city. There was a live band and lots of people on the dance floor. They annouced us in and we danced with everyone until they closed down the bar. It was so much fun!!! It was the perfect ending to a perfect day!
From Papaya - only $27! :)
I'm adding this brooch to the shoulder part:
We finally recieved our canvas wrap from Costco, after the package got lost somewhere during shipping the first time. We ordered the 24 x 32 inch. I'm pretty happy with it. The quality and workmanship all look good. Thanks to m4rcla for recommending Costco to order it! :)
We'll use it to display at the wedding and then mount it on a wall at home afterwards.
It's official! No turning back now! :)
My parents' friends have 5 year old twin girls that will be my flower girls! I wasn't planning on having in kids in the wedding party, but I think they will be adorable!
Their mom just sent me this pic of them in their dresses! So cute!
(I photoshopped in the sashes to see what it would look like. Hehe.)

Headband (still looking though, the color is a bit too dark)
