A very helpful and nice place to have your wedding if you are having a small one. You can have the ceremony in their atrium if you have 75 guests or less. Nicely decorated with tropical trees and plants and with running water. Very nice since all your out of town guests can stay at the same hotel! The only drawback is the Rehearsal. Since they have a Manager's Reception every night in the atrium, you have to have your rehearsal the day before either at 3:00 pm or 8:00 pm. Can wreck havoc with folks working the day before in the wedding party, or the dinner, but it is workable! We did it, and it went fine. Other downside is that it is difficult to coordinate everyone's entrance during the ceremony, and ours did get mixed up a bit, but it still is a nice location. Reception: They would have gotten 5 stars if they had not forgotten to serve coffee with the wedding cake! other than that though, what a fantastic place to have the reception. We had a afternoon reception, so it wasn't a sit down dinner, but the food they served was excellent. We went with their silk package, which included items like crab cakes, coconut shrimp and beef wellington among other tasty morsels. We also had a cash bar, and the bartender was professional but friendly. Our biggest thrill though was the job they did in decorating the reception room. We provided them with some snowflake decorations, and they turned the room into a winter wonderland. It was downright gorgeous. the event director was fabulous in all the preparations and setting everything up. Hotel Blocks: We really wanted a one stop place, especially if the weather turned out iffy, but let me tell you, you can't get nicer rooms then these. They are two room suites, and can easily sleep 6 if needed. Beautifully decorated, and very affordable. Complete with a television in both rooms, microwave, refrigerator, very nice bathroom, coffee in the room, ironing board, hairdryer and a nice desk for writing. The hotel also has a made to order complimentary breakfast for guests, and a manager's reception with free drinks every night for 2 hours. It was a nice added touch where my family was able to relax after the reception! They set up easy on line reservations for my guests with a personal webpage with our names on it. They were able to work with us when someone forgot to reserve a room until after the cutoff date. Staff very nice and helpful. Wedding night hotel: What can I possibly add about the Embassy Suites that I haven't already said? How about maid service within minutes when the bride wanted her room tidy while she was preparing for her wedding, a nice fruit basket for the couple when they returned to their room, and a surprise! We had used royal blue rose petals on the tables in the reception, and when we returned to the room, the hotel had made a huge heart on the bed with the rose petals. It was such a nice tourch! I've mentioned before how nice the rooms are, I would highly recommend the hotel. Even has an indoor pool and hot tub!

Jin Yuan Chinese Restaurant

Perhaps a little unusual, but it was very conveniently located near the hotel. Made special menus for us, so that the menus didn't include the prices. Had a nice selection to choose from of dishes that included soup and appetizer. They had the tables set up for our arrival just as we would wish. Very reasonably priced and casual. We really didn't want anything too fancy for the rehearsal, so it was nice just being together in this cozy restaurant. Food was good, service was great.

They were great. From the moment the Groom entered the shop (who was a nervous wreck by the way) he was put at ease. The gentleman working was right there to help him, making suggestions and answering all questions to everyone's satisfaction - including the bride! Quick service, very professional and helpful. The Tux came in as ordered, all pieces were there. They accommodated us by moving his fitting up by 3 hours at our request, and we were able to take the tux immediately because it was perfect. Would use them again in a second. Though we only needed 1 Tux, they had an offer where the groom gets his free with so many groomsmen's order.

Really inexpensive bridal dresses, and a good selection of off the rack ones so you can save money. And they did not push unneeded alterations. made appropriate suggestions for jewelry and other accessories, again not pushy. cashier had an attitude though, and they went after my maid of honor for a $5 mistake THEY made, refusing to take credit card over the phone. made her drive back to the store to pay it (over 20 miles round trip). for $5. Then when her dress had come in, the seamstress had quit, and they had no one to do alterations. they suggested someone who was even farther away from the maid of honor than the shop was. Though I had no problems with the wedding dress, the Maid of Honor certainly would not have even given them the 3 stars.

One may think I had totally lost my mind by ordering the bridal bouquet, bridesmaids flowers, and flowers for the groomsmen all off of Ebay, but frankly, I could barely afford the cost of flowers in season, never mind the fact that I was getting married in January. Silk arrangements seemed the perfect alternative, and I am so glad I found this on-line vendor. I told her what I wanted, she worked on me with price since I needed less flowers than their standard package. Communication was great, and the flowers came out absolutely beautiful. I had many, many compliments on them, and they went perfect with our color scheme. At a fraction of the cost of the real thing.

Yum. And if I need to say it again. Yum. Absolutely delicious. From the moment they sat down with us months before to taste test their extraordinary confections, they had us hooked. It was hard to choose -- everything tasted great. We finally selected a three tier cake, with one layer being vanilla and the other two chocolate. We didn't go with a traditional looking wedding cake. Ours was decorated with white and silver snowflakes and white dots on a royal blue background, perfectly coordinated with the Maid of Honor's dress through a swatch of fabric we provided just days before the wedding. The top was simply a bouquet of flowers in shades of blue and white. It was stunning! It was displayed on a table in the reception with little snowmen that we had provided, and royal blue rose petals, and it took your breath away when you saw it. And the taste! Just writing about it makes me want to grab the top tier (carefully frozen for our anniversary). YUM!

Josh Woodruff did a great job. He returned phone calls as quickly as conceivalbe. He also provided a very detailed wedding planner. it was a big help - he made us really think about the music we wanted for our reception, and he had in writing what we wanted (and didn't want) played. He had all the names, all the instructions, and most importantly, he followed them! He didn't try to take over, just kept the music going and kept the folks dancing and entertained Great sound, nice added touch with the light show --especially the dancing snowflakes (snow was our theme)
