Laughin Gal Floral

( 5.0 / 5.0 )
Amanda Seely is not only knowledgeable about plants and flowers(she's a Biologist and Botanist by training), she has exquisite taste and she's a pleasure to work with. I know nothing about flowers and I needed Amanda to help me work out what would be best for my wedding. I told her what my wedding colors were, we discussed some ideas I liked, I send her some pictures and I told her about some flowers I liked. She worked her magic to do all the rest! And she did a GORGEOUS job. I was sooo pleased with the altar arrangements and the garland adorning the entrance to the chapel. I really loved the guy's boutonnieres and our table centerpieces. And I adored my bouquet. My flowers were so special - everything was fresh from her garden, organic and fragrant. All the varieties were so different, unique, off the beaten path... And the colors were perfect. Amanda exceeded my expectations and I could not thank her enough. She made my wedding a beautiful, colorful, fragrant dream!

Pinkie's Bakery

( 5.0 / 5.0 )
This bakery is finger-licking-good! (Or whatever the equivalent would be for baked goods). Cheryl Burr, the owner, is as sweet as her cakes and a pleasure to talk to. She doesn't have a storefront and works mostly making special occasion cakes and pastries, but if you have a special occasion that calls for a yummylicious cake, Cheryl is your gal! I highly recommend her chocolate cake, it's to die for! I got married April 18, 2009. Cheryl and Pinkie's bakery DELIVERED as expected. No, beyond expectations! Her presentation cake was gorgeous and EXACTLY what I asked her to do. Our 3 flavors of cake were even better than during our tasting and everybody loved them. The cake was so good, we had none left to take home with us. NONE! (and we ordered cake for 150 ppl when there were only 113 present at the reception). If you need a cake, get it from Cheryl. It's worth every penny. BTW, I saw she started selling her delights at Rainbow Grocery. We bought some of her carrot cake and it was delish.

Bridal Image of San Francisco

( 5.0 / 5.0 )
I found my dream wedding dress, under budget, at this down-to-Earth store. The non-snootyness was refreshing. I worked with Xiu, who was lovely, sincere and knowledgeable (she has a background as a seamstress, which is extremely helpful). I'm sure my experience was very positive because: 1. I went during the week. 2. I made an appointment prior to my visit. Both these factors are highly recommended. Definitely not the right place for everyone, but if you are looking for beautiful dresses and GREAT service at a reasonable price, this is the place for you. I just got married April 18, 2009. My dress delivery actually got delayed from the factory by about 2 and a half weeks. Luckily, I had ordered my dress very early and this was never a problem. The lovely ladies at Bridal Image kept calling me and updating me on the status of the delay until the dress finally came in. They were so graceful about the whole thing, they even did my dress' bustle for free as a courtesy for my inconvenience. I had my alteration work done with them and, even though it wasn't anything major, I was very impressed with the final result. I still feel very strongly about recommending their services.
