I don't know where we will have the reception yet.  But I know that I want to continue the vintage look to continue with a Vintage Soda Bar and Popcorn.

DIY: An Old Fashioned Soda Bar

Add a little fiz and some retro fun to your wedding with a soda bar! (expert advice)

Old fashioned sodas add a fun and playful element to an event and can even be used as part of your decor! There are so many to reasons to love them: they are in pretty glass bottles, lots of times with original vintage-y logos on the packaging, and they are made with pure sugar cane, delicious! Plus you'll hear your grandpa excited when he finds his favorite soda from when he was nine!

We love them all set up arranged according to color or you can even just buy the color of flavors that go with your wedding. Instead of keeping them on ice, refrigerate them up until right before and line them up on a table or bar for maximum effect.

The hardest part of having old fashioned sodas is sourcing them. They can be difficult to come by. If you live in California BevMo has a very large selection of specialty sodas (and even ships them online if you can't find something local). Gourmet delicatessens and stores can also have good selections and we've even got lucky before at warehouse stores like Costco.

Add some fizz to your wedding day with gourmet sodas!

I want the popcorn to be going away gits so I'm not sure how to display it just yet.  It's still a working process.

The Ceremony photo 1

We had been searching for a church for awhile, a year.  We didn't want a church that we could just get married in but a church we could grow with and have/start our family in.  This was the one that came at such a precious time in our life.

The Proposal The Ring photo 1

He did not have this song playing, but it was pretty close to the story line of the song.  Those of you who do not know who Kelly Price is she is a powerful singer who sings this orginal song of hers with pure essence and emotion.  I tweeked a couple of the verses but you'll get the picture.  All I can say is that I am an extremely happy woman.  I know that we are more than right for each other because since day one our souls have always spoken to each other and this was no different, actually, they speak louder than before.  I hope everyone can experience such a blessing as I have.

Lyrics: He Proposed, Kelly Price [end] Kelly Price He Proposed Lyrics:

Kelly Price He Proposed Lyrics:
[Verse 1:]
It was valentines day February the 14th  (Actually it was Wednesday May 7th)
my baby took me to a special place        ( We had just finished reading the Bible before bed)
said he had a surprise for me
he told me to close my eyes
so that I could not see and
when I opened them up
he was on one knee reachin' for
my hand (that's when)

[Chorus:]
He proposed to me- he proposed
with a diamond ring
I started crying- he placed it
on my finger and I said
yes- he proposed to me- my baby
proposed with a diamond
ring I couldn't believe it I
looked in his eyes and I
said yes.

[Verse 2:]
I'll never forget that night-
it was 8:43 pm to be
precise
he looked into my eyes and
said-would you make me the happiest man.
as soon as I got home
I called my mother on the phone
I said momma you
won't believe what just
happened to me

[Chorus:]
He proposed to me- he proposed
with a diamond ring
I couldn't belive it, I
started crying- he placed it

on my finger and I said
yes- he proposed to me-my baby
proposed with a diamond
ring I couldn't believe it I
looked in his eyes and I
said yes.

[Bridge:]
Cuz we will be together baby, and
this I know-this I know
see,we will love forever baby
my heart told me so
see, if you promise to hold me
tight and never let me go
we will be husband and wife
for the rest of our lives

[Chorus]
He proposed to me- he proposed
with a diamond ring
I started crying- he placed it
on my finger and I said
yes- he proposed to me- he
proposed with a diamond
ring I couldn't believe it I
looked in his eyes and I
said yes.

My baby asked me to love him
so I'm gonna love him
said I couldn't believe it
I looked in his eyes
and I, I said yes
forever
I said yes
I couldn't believe it, no,no
I said yes
he proposed and what a surprise
10 karats nearly filled my eyes
so I started crying
looked in his eyes
I said yeah, yeah, yeah
yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
yes
my baby proposed to me
so I started crying
with tears of joy
