Courting Eileen Wedding Invitations
From start to finish we felt that we found the most amazing stationer for our wedding invitations, table cards, & our program cover. The company is called Courting Eileen. From the moment we received the sample invitation in the mail, we knew that we had found our dream invites! They were unique, beautiful, elegant, and fun. We selected the boxed invitations in our wedding colors. As soon as our guests began receiving their invitations in the mail, we began getting complimentary phone calls. Everyone wanted to share with us how much they enjoyed getting our little "package" in the mail, and shared that they couldn't wait 'till our event! Erin, the owner of the company, provided patient, kind, and knowledgeable support throughout our ordering process. She helped us create the perfect invitation for our needs, and she went the extra mile when we asked her to design the cover of our program & our table cards to match the invitations! We couldn't have asked for better service, and we still get compliments about our invites - almost a month after our wedding! If you are looking for something that goes beyond the ordinary, something unique, elegant, & beautiful, then you need to check out Courting Eileen's website & order a sample!

I had heard horrible things from a bride who is not the typical size 14 or below (like me). I went anyway, hoping to get better service, and I was very pleasantly surprised. Everyone who I worked with (both the main attendant, as well as her helper) were kind, patient, & above all - helpful. A couple of months before my wedding, I broke my leg & was scheduled to come in for a fitting. They sweetly altered just the top of my dress since I was still in a cast, and then allowed me to come in a couple of weeks before the wedding for the lower half of the dress to be altered. One week before the wedding, I had my final fitting & the staff continued to be kind & helpful. My bridesmaids also had a great experience - including one who was 3 months pregnant & who needed last minute alterations, too!

The Sacramento Grand Ballroom
Wow...What an amazing site! My husband & I looked everywhere from Lake Tahoe to Fort Bragg in search of a beautiful, unique wedding site. We were surprised to find our pick in downtown Sacramento, but we are so glad we found it! The Sacramento Grand Ballroom was originally a 1920's bank building that has now been converted into a ballroom & office spaces. The old bank teller windows are where you walk up to the bar. We booked the venue through Event Architects, and were able to use their catering company, too! We were thrilled with food, the waitstaff, the bartenders, and our coordinator - Trisha Nadal. We decided to hire Trisha for the rehearsal & the day-of services, and were SO glad we did! She helped coordinate all of the day's events, and she made possible for all of our friends & family to enjoy the party (instead of running around helping with last minute details). You cannot go wrong in choosing this space for your reception (as well as your ceremony, if you desire). Another option is to do as we did - have the ceremony outdoors at the Capitol gardens, and then have the guests travel a short distance to the Grand Ballroom (we hired a bus to transport our guests). However you decide to do it - you'll be glad you chose to have your party at the Grand Ballroom! Great food, beautiful venue, and unbelievable service!

Village Cake Shoppe
Our cake was beautiful AND delicious! All of our guests kept commenting on how much they loved the flavor of our chocolate cake - even days after the wedding! Patrick & his wife are great to work with, and you may even get an anthropology lesson in wedding traditions from Patrick- if you're lucky!
