I had a morning wedding, and Nicole Thompson + 2nd H/MU artist were in my hotel room, ready to go, at an amazing 6 o'clock in the morning! The girls were sweet and kind, and listened to what each of my BMs wanted for their hair and make-up. They rotated between applying make-up or hair for each of my 3 BMs and my mom before Nicole finally sat down with me and did my hair & face. Even when I asked Nicole to change my eyes a little from the trial, she kindly obliged. I'd love to be able to hire these girls again for another big event!

Though we had only hired Jennifer as our day-of coordinator, we were pleasantly surprised that she allowed herself to be available to us months before the actual wedding with constant meetings and e-mail communications. There was never a time after having hired Jennifer that she held back her expertise and organization from us. She was present at our two last critical vendor meetings our final meetings with the ceremony and reception venues and spoke up on our behalf when the vendors alluded to contradictory figures, and always offered her sound, knowledgeable, and unbiased advice when asked. Jennifer was aware of every detail in our wedding and handled all of the communication and timeline issues with the vendors in the weeks leading up to the wedding. For this reason, it was with complete and utter confidence that we handed over the entire wedding to Jennifer on the Big Day. She was on hand from the rehearsal the night before the wedding until the entire reception ended the following day. Needless to say, she was the reason that our wedding sailed by without any hindrances.

I contacted Arif about doing a pre-wedding bridal photo session a month before the wedding in my hometown of San Francisco. I couldn't imagine not having any photos taken of us in the beautiful city of SF, and stumbled across Perspecta's website in a cursory San Francisco-based photographer search online. Arif and Corey were our bridal session photographers, and the only directions I gave them were that the photos had to be *IN* San Francisco, but not "look" like San Francisco - that meant, no Baker Beach, no Golden Gate Bridge, no Ferry Building, etc. These two guys have an absolute amazing eye for beautiful photography and took us to an industrial part of SF, near ATT Park, for our session. Suffice to say that my husband and I are extremely pleased with how our photos turned out (please see the few that I've uploaded). Arif and Corey are amazing individuals, highly professional, extremely skilled, and overall just friendly guys. I highly recommend booking with Perspecta because these guys produce top of the line shots at middle of the way prices.

I highly recommend Pacific Hills as a reception and/or party venue. We worked with David who is absolutely meticulous in all that he does for his clients. He answers every question with patience (and I had a whole notebook full of questions), he returns calls promptly, and he treated us with complete respect. The venue - though nestled in a shopping plaza next to the DMV - is absolutely gorgeous inside. Parking is aplenty for guests. Pacific Hills is a one-stop shop for almost all reception needs. Our package included catering, chivari chairs, cascading lights, and a chocolate fountain/fondue. We were happy to find that David generously added more lighting and drapery on the day of the wedding. Our wedding cake (from Cinderella Cakes) was included in our package, which made things that much easier. (If you are a bride who wants to book your own vendors for catering, linens, specialty lighting, cake, etc. - this venue may not be for you. But if you're lazy like how I was, and tired of looking for various vendors and getting recommendations for each of them, Pacific Hills may just work for you.) The one [not completely positive] thing that I'd mention is that if you go with their sit-down menu, you're limited to just one main entree. To get around that, we went with their served buffet, which allowed us to offer our guests 3 different entrees. In the end, however, our guests still enjoyed their meal, and we didn't mind at all not having a sit-down reception.

I bought 200 clear cello bags for my DIY peanuts & Cracker Jack favors (pictured above), and Paper Mart had them for the cheapest price. They were a pleasant company to deal with, the item came exactly as described, and their prices are hard to beat.

Current Events, LLC dba Pacific Events Entertainment
Tim Coy of Pacific Events was one the easiest vendors to work with! We discovered him after hearing him DJ/MC at a friend's wedding, and my husband and I immediately fell for his smooth, professional voice. Nearing the wedding day, Tim sent us a suggested timeline of events and questionnaire for us to complete. He was prompt to show up and set up on the big day, and he said/played/directed exactly as we wanted! We received many compliments on Tim's DJ/MC service from our friends, even from my own mother who couldn't even understand a word he said! :)

The Westin South Coast Plaza
My husband and I stayed at the South Coast Plaza Westin on the night of our wedding. When checking in, we mentioned that we were newly wed just hours before, secretly in hopes that she'd give us a small upgrade in our room, but she didn't even blink an eye and just said, "Congratulations." No matter, the room we were given was clean and gave us a huge comfortable bed to rest on after the hustle and bustle of the wedding. I would recommend The Westin for anyone looking for an elegant place to stay before, during, or after their wedding.

I purchased 2 display floor easels for $75, and they were amazing! (http://www.save-on-crafts.com/easels.html) I had both an enlarged engagement photo as well as an enlarged bridal photo that needed to be displayed at the ceremony, so being able to purchase TWO easels for the price of what other places charge for one easel was a great find! If you're in need for easels because your venue doesn't provide one for you, I highly recommend purchasing your own (actually, two of them!) from Save-On-Crafts.

wedding alterations by Mahtab
There's nothing else I can add to previous bride's reviews that would showcase how extremely talented Mahtab is at altering wedding dresses. She is amazing in the work that she does, and is incredibly sweet and kind on top of it. I took my dress to Mahtab thinking that it was too small and needed to be let out in the bust. She took a look at the dress and assured me that there'd be enough material to let the dress out; however, as it turned out, we were able to zip it up all the way, and she simply had to (1) alter the hem, (2) sew in bra cups, and (3) put in a bustle. The dress was completed in about two weeks and it looked amazing. At such reasonable alterations prices, I highly recommend brides taking the drive down to Lake Forest for Mahtab to work magic on your beautiful too large, too small, too long, or too short wedding dresses.
