Currently, Jill works for Georgia Parking Enforcement as the secretary of the company and personal assistant to the president. She enjoys her job there and looks forward to a long time with the company.

Jill enjoys history, travel, reading (especially historical fiction), computers and other technical gadgets, spending time with friends and family, paranormal topics and shopping. But what girl doesn't enjoy that?

Growing up, David was a Boy Scout for the majority of his life. He, his brother and dad went on many adventures with the Boy Scouts. After completing his time with the Scouts, he was promoted to Eagle Scout and is very proud of the title.

In 2002, David graduated from Fayetteville High School and then attended Georgia College & State University in Milledgeville, GA. After a few years in school, David now works for Tri-C Printing with his uncle and cousin.

David enjoys being with friends and family, video games, college football, reading (but very particular books), beer, outdoor activities, skiing, movies and watching TV.

How we met

David and Jill met on a blind date that two mutual friends set them up on January 24th, 2008. Jill met her friend Krista while working together at Woodland High School. Krista told Jill she should meet her (Krista's) boyfriend's (Spencer's) best friend, David.

After some prodding, Jill said she would agree to go on a double date with Krista, Spencer and David. They met at Krista's apartment and then went to eat Mexican at a local restaurant.

A month later, David and Jill found themselves together again at a get together at David's house. They started dating that night, a month almost to the day after they first met in January.

Date of event

How we got engaged

It was Jill's birthday that day. While at a birthday party with some of her friends at a local Chinese/sushi restaurant, David switched Jill's fortune cookie with one he had prepared earlier. Jill broke open the cookie to reveal about four fortunes. She read each one aloud, as everyone does. When she reached the last one, it was a fortune that read "Will you marry me?". David then got down on one knee, opened the ring box and asked Jill again, "Will you marry me?". Of course, Jill said yes!
