More pictures are in my photos file.
One Saturday Ethan and I were talking about how we didn’t get a lot of exercise during the week. So Ethan suggested that we spend Sunday morning hiking in Griffith Park. So we get up early, bring the camera gear and start on our hike. We’re having a lot of fun and taking pictures of each other along the way. Once we get to the top, overlooking the skyline, we decide to take a break. The scenery was amazing. As we were sitting there, Ethan starting telling my how much he loved me and so on. I though he was in a loving mood, so I just nodded my head. Then he said, “We should get married,” and I said “yeah, we should.” Then he said, Well, let’s make it official,” and started to take out the ring from his camera bag. Super excitement!! Then he officially asked me to marry him.
Later, he told me that we was spending every afternoon for the past two weeks down at the Jewelry District downtown looking for the perfect ring. Then he carried it around for a week waiting for the perfect moment. When he realized that a perfect moment wasn’t going to appear out of the blue, he decided to make it happen by going on a hike.
Ethan and I met online about a year and a half ago. As soon as we met, we knew this was different. He grew up Jewish in Berkeley, I grew up Christian in South Central, yet we seem to have everything in common. When we met we realized what love really was.
