Mandy and I started making the bridal shower invitations!!! I will start handing them out first week of May!!!!! Then we will have to start seriously planning the details for it.
I've continued the wedding programs....I GOCCO-ED the vellum!!!! So nice!!! I've also stamped them all so all I need to do now is wait til the details on the programs to be finalized and then print and assemble!!!
The table numbers are done too!!!!!!!!!! A VERY special and big thank you to JOSH!!! Totally saved me =)
We have a wedding to go to this weekend...VIV and CARLIN'S!!!!!!! It's the ast wedding we'll attent before WE get hitched!!!! It will be 2.5 months til our wedding after this one!!! We've been secretly waiting for this wedding to come since it's the 2.5 month countdown mark for us HAHAHA I love weddings <3
That's it for now....still tons of little things to do.........less than 12 weeks to go!!
I don't know if you guys on here can access my weddin website...I made it through project wedding....but here's the link so you can see pictures
WEEK 33!!! 88 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ed and I have a wedding to go to in less than 2 weeks....that couple got engaged over a year ago and we've been anticipating their wedding ever since we got engaged back in August because we knew that their wedding would be the 2.5 month mark for our own wedding....can't wait to go!!!
We also have arranged to start our premarriage course with our pastor. We will first go in and each do a test on our own....scarry......................
As for RSVPs....they're starting to roll in...we got 4 back (for a total of 8 people!!)...some have declined due to commitments they've already made for that day....as I suspected....it looks like we can start sending out invites for guest list B.
I've ordered the bridal shower papers! And the vellum for the ceremony programs!! So now I must once again sit and wait for them to arrive!!! When they do...it's double time in my office!
We've moved more stuff into our new place. This weekend Ed moved his BIG TV and computer in. We got the cable hooked up and internet going!! Feels like home already HAHAHA It's going to be pretty crazy bringing all the little knick knacks there....I plan on just bringing bags of my random things over everyweekend. So I'm always packing away.....
We made the decsion to cancel our wedding night stay ar RiverRock Hotel. We origninally booked the room for our wedding night because we really didn't think our home would be ready yet as we were expecting to start renting in June. Since we've already got the place and have started moving things in...we think it will be ready for our wedding night. So instead of spending $350 for one night we've pretty much taken that money and used it towards furniture!! Since we're not longer staying at the hotel I've also changed our 'morning after lunch' with our family from 12:30pm to 2:00pm. That way we all get to sleep in (we had a check-out time of 12:00pm so that's why we had the reservations for 12:30pm before...) So Jen will get to head over to our place (which is closer than RiverRock!) and romanticize our bedroom for us ;)
The bridesmaid dresses have arrived!!!!!!!!!!!!! They're all here!!! Now my mom can start altering them!! My mom has been shopping for her dress lately as well....
I've decided to go out and splurge on a headpiece....I can always sell it online afterwards...the one I got from michaels just will not work...too cheap looking afterall...a waste of $20 =( There are also a few extra things I need to buy...keep forgetting to get them...but I need to get it done soon!!
I still need to go to The Bay and fix up my bridal shower gift registry. I need to change the name of it to 'Daisy's Bridal Shower' instead of 'Daisy and Edmund'. Don't want actual wedding guests to start buying gifts from there since we've asked for money!
We still need to pay the deposit for the limo!!!!!! Ahhhhhhh
I've been looking around at getting our engagement photos printed into an album. Been to London Drugs a few times and like what I've seen. Got to go to Costco and compare though. This reminds me...the scrapbook I made of our 'dating days' still needs a few final touches on it before the big day...
I also need to really start planning out the papers for the guests to sign on...I've mentioned it before but I'm not going to have a guestbook. Rather guests will have 3x5in papers to write notes on and I'll be taking those notes and making a big poster out of them and then framing it so we can have it in our home.
Kk that's it for this week.......I know for sure I'm forgetting something!!!!!!
Wow........SOOOOOOOOOOO much has happened in the past week!!!!!!!! Here's the major highlights!!
We have a place to call home!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's in RICHMOND in Steveston!! We already love our landlords!! We already have the keys so we can pretty much start moving things in whenever we want to!!!!!!
We also bought our bedroom set and couch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BRANDNEW!!!!!!! ALL under $1000 after tax!!!!!!!!! Super good buy!! We're going to be there a lot the next few weeks figuring out where everything goes and moving stuff around. Good thing we got Easter long weekend this week!!!!!
We handed out our invitations (some still to be handed out because we have yet to see them). We got our first RSVP already!!!!!!!!!!!
And last but not least.....if you haven't already noticed......we finally got the engagement pictures!!!!!!!!!! Here's one we totally love!!
KK that's it for now.....so busy I don't have time to elaborate!!
14 weeks to go!!!!!!!!!!!! That's 96 days!! YAY double digits finally!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We decided to do a gift registry for my bridal shower. So yesterday we went to The Bay and 'beeped' some things. Most of them were baking stuff because obviously we will none of those things and I love to bake. We really don't need anything in terms of gifts (we are asking for money as gifts for our wedding) but for the sake of having gifts to open at my bridal shower I decided to put a few things on the wedding registry.
I'm still waiting for my paper to arrive so I can start another part of the programs. And also so I can prepare my next order of papers for the bridal shower invites.
I also bought an evening gown...I know I said I wasn't going to have one because I don't really want to change into anything else that night. My white dress is so nice and it doesn't make sense to NOT wear it all night...when else am I ever going to get to wear it again?? But I thought about it and realised that I really do need a 'back-up dress' incase something happens (spilled drink, someone stepping on my train and tearing it HAHA). Who knows what can happen....it's good to have back-up and if I don't end up wearing the dress that night I'll always have my honeymoon to wear it.
We're still waiting for our engagement pics from Dan Fontaine..........yaa it's takinga while eh?? Ed might give them a call this week.
That's it for this week!
-Invitations...100 of them (80% done)...we will be handing them out in April.
-Ceremony programs...100 of them...semi-on hold because the infomation all has to be confirmed...I'm also waiting for one more of the papers which should be here this week....I have all the raw materials set to go...so I'll just have to print and assemble.
-Reception buffet menu/program/drinks menu (it's a triangle thing)...20 of them....it's on hold until these things are confirmed then it's just printing and assembling it.
-Party favours (mini picture frames with each guests' names in the picture slot)....all 180 of them...it's also on hold until I start getting RSVP's...I already did the ones I know for SURE will be there..mainly the bridal party.
-Bridal shower invitations..35 of them...I have the prototype done...need to order the paper sometime this week and then I can start making them.
-Table numbers....20 of them...I've made 10 using pics from our October engagement shoot....it's on hold for now until I get the March engagement shoot pics.
Other things I need to think about......
-Guest sign in....what should I do?? Sign in board/picture (guests sign on the matted party of the frame). Magazine style engagement album where guests can sign right on the pages. Any other suggestions?
-A 'fun pack' for the younger guests. A little baggie with crayons and a colouring book maybe.
Things we've done the past week.....
-Booked 'morning after lunch' at Tramonto Resturant at River Rock Casino. This is a lunch for the family memebers the next day after the wedding. It's at 12:30pm. There will be a mini tea ceremony too.
-Checked with Earls at Lansdowne Mall to see when we need to book Rehearsal Dinner. They said a good month before hand. I will book it once the date and time of the rehearsal is set.
-Called Ritz Limo about their limos. We are going tomorrow to look at it and if it's good we will book it.
-Contacted bridesmaid makeup artist to set a date for the Makeup Trial Party which will probably happen first 2 weeks of June.
We have 3 new members of the bridal party!!!!
Randy...MC for reception
Laura...MC for reception
Sienne...Translator/MC for reception
We have set up a wedding website!!! You guys are special so you get a sneak peak..it's still work in progress....let me know if you want information changed or whatever if you have a profile on there.
K my head's gonna blow HAHAHA That's it for now.............
