Since we're having a backyard summer garden wedding, I wanted to keep things colorful and vibrant. When I explain my colors to people (bright white, bright blue, bright green, fuschia, and bright orange) I often get strange looks. Hopefully people will "get" my vision by looking at my inspiration board. (still a work in progress)

We'll be getting married at my aunt's home, in her backyard. She has a huge yard with a few majestic looking oak trees and a beautiful pond. It's very rustic and imperfect but I love that!

The dress is by Pronovias. This picture is a bit cheesy but, the dress is very sophisticated and has a bit of a modern twist to it. I LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!

It happened on December 21, 2006. It was a regular Thursday. He called me up while I was at work and asked if I wanted to go to dinner that night. We had been talking a lot about getting married and had just gone to the jewlery store and looked at engagement rings, so I had a feeling that he was going to ask me that night. But, when I got home, he was as calm as could be so I convinced myself that there was no way he was going to ask.
We had a lovely dinner at this adorable French restaurant in El Dorado Hills. It was a bit unusual because it was a nicer dinner than we would normally have gone to on a Thursday night, but he was so calm that I didn't think anything of it. After dinner, he asked me to take a walk with him. At that point, I knew he was about to propose.
It was pouring down rain, and we went for a walk around this pond. Next thing I knew, he was on one knee. It all happened so fast! I said yes, we stood there and cried, and now we're getting married.
