Davids Bridal

We went TWICE to Davids Bridal, and I did not get my dress there in the end. My sister-in-law is a big advocate of Davids, especially since she got her wedding dress there on sale during their 99$ sale a few years ago. I just didnt find what I liked. Davids Bridal, in case you dont know, only carries Davids Bridal dresses, which means that you wont find the really trendy brand name wedding dresses here. What we did get was amazing deals on our bridesmaids dresses. I know my bridal party loved the idea that they could piece together tops and skirts of various styles in the same color and material. This way everyone was in the same color palate but in different styles. I really recommend Davids if you want uniform and simple bridesmaids dresses. While I may not have been a fan of their wedding dress selection, they do have really great seamstresses that take care of the alterations of the bridesmaids dresses. The dresses all needed alterations, especially around the bust. The alterations were cheap, between $10 and $50 dollars, depending on what needed to be done. For some, length was also an issue. All the dresses looked great after their alterations. I think this is a really great price, because other places charge twice as much to just hem your pants.

Vera's Bridal Clearance Center

( 5.0 / 5.0 )
There were lots of dresses there, some for much less than I had seen elsewhere. What I liked was the big selection, with all the different names to choose from. Im sure if I stayed longer at the Clearance Center I would have found something, but I just went back to Veras House of Bridals in Madison two weeks later and bought my dress there.

Sazs and the staff that work there, both in the restaurant and on the catering team are awesome. They were our first choice because weve eaten there so many times and love the food, and my work has had Sazs caterer a few holiday parties. I picked up a card at the wedding expo, and then made an appointment almost six months later. I went in with Sam and we came up with a great menu. Another benefit is that they were able to take care of the chairs and tables and linens, so it was a one-stop deal. It was in our price range, but my suggestion is to have minimum appetizers, because people got so full they barely touched their main course plates. The food is incredible, and the presentation is really nice, too.

Miller Park

This was where Sam wanted to go, and all of his friends are big Brewers fans so it seemed like a good idea for everyone. Even though they can afford tickets, they waited until the game started and bought tickets off the street. They got really cheap tickets, far out there, and Sam said that they had a great time drinking beer and pretending they were from Queens, NY. I think the Brewers were playing the Mets, but I cant be certain. For the amount that they spent on beers that night, I think it would have been cheaper for them to go to Las Vegas.

Affinia Chicago

( 5.0 / 5.0 )
I planned a getaway trip with six of my close friends to Chicago for a weekend getaway Bachelorette party! It was great, we drove down and we got a great deal to stay at the Affinia Hotel in Chicago. We had two hotel rooms, and they were sooo nice, and its a really nice hotel in a nice area. We booked the hotel rooms through www.hotels.com, and we got a much better deal than through other online sites.
