Organic String Quartet
After firing my original quartet 2 weeks before my wedding, I was put in contact with Emily at Organic Strings. Emily was very responsive to my emails, she immediately contacted my venue regarding their insurance requirements (which was the last straw on why I fired the original group), and made wonderful suggestions on music to use during the ceremony. On my wedding day, the group was on time, dressed professionally, and music was absolutely beautiful. Hearing them play the music I walked down the aisle to (Cannon in D) brought tears to my eyes. They played during the ceremony and cocktail hour (they had to change locations) and everything was smooth and perfect. I highly recommend Emily and Organic String Quartet!

I can't say enough about Ian from RedShoe. We instantly liked him from the very first meeting. One thing we noticed in planning was you could ask almost any vendor "what do you think?", and the standard response was "it's your wedding, you can do whatever you want". We wanted to hire professionals who could provide guidance for us- this was Ian. He was completely open to our wants, but still provided awesome suggestions when we asked. We got so many compliments about the music at our wedding. Several people mentioned that they thought we picked the entire play list- not the case. Ian asked us for our "must play" songs, then took it from there to add the rest of the music that flowed in the same style. He had great techniques for getting people out on the dance floor, without being in the least bit cheesy. At one moment, we stepped back to watch every single person in the room dancing. Anyone will tell you music (and food) are key at a wedding. RedShoe will definitely do a great job with the music!

Bravo Strings was one of the first vendors I hired as having a string quartet at my wedding was very important to me. Although they were priced a bit higher than some other groups I contacted, I decided to go with them based on their website and the fact that they are professional musicians and could therefore provide the proof of insurance my venue required. Throughout the planning process, I contacted the group several times with various questions. 4 months before the wedding, I asked if we could push back the start/end time 15 mins later than what I requested in the contract, as details fell into place. At first they responded that the overtime rate was in the contract. She also added that I could pay in the form of "nice tips" for the musicians. As the other reviewer mentioned, this was not the last suggestion of tipping I'd hear. Based on the email, I didn't think extending their time 15 mins would be a problem. When I contacted them again a couple weeks later, they informed me they had another job booked after mine and the time couldn't be adjusted. The plan was theyd get up and walk out 15 mins before the cocktail hour ended. About 1 month before the wedding, I sent an email letting them know they needed to sign a conduct form, as well as send the proof of insurance to the venue. I was then informed they could not provide the insurance because they had given me a discounted rate. I clarified that I had told them from the beginning they needed to provide insurance, and it was their responsibility to do so. Several emails were exchanged suggesting I would have to pay more money for them to get the insurance. 2 weeks went by with us arguing back and forth about getting this resolved. Finally, now 2 weeks before my wedding, they still had not submitted the proper forms to the venue. I finally couldn't take the thought of working with this person any longer, and cancelled the contract and hired another group. I mentioned this to them directly- dealing with Bravo Strings was the only part of planning my wedding that was stressful, and it literally brought me to tears. I finally decided I'd rather eat the deposit I paid than have this group at my wedding. I can't comment at all on their appearance, performance, or talent. All I can say is they were the most difficult vendor I've ever worked with, about half of the emails included something about tipping, and any amount of talent they have couldn't overcome this.
