JINZA Couture Bridal
Wow Jinza's designs are absolutely amazing. I tried on about 3 dresses and fell in love with each one. However, her dresses are so expensive I had to say no. I just couldn't justify spending $5 grand on a gown for one day. Jinza is so nice and she never once pressured me to buy a gown. She let me take pictures and was very very attentive. You have to give her at least 5 months to custom make your gown. I really wish I had the money to buy a Jinza design. Definitely a boutique to check out!

DJ John Jow
I am so happy with John's service and definitely recommend him to any bride for their wedding. Like the previous review mentioned, John is a very experienced DJ. He has every song you can think of. He's been doing this for over 20 years! Before he started DJing he worked for a local radio station (remember KMEL? i think it's still around). He is indeed very responsive but he books up quick! He travels all over the states DJing weddings. We were very lucky to get him 1 year in advance. He came highly recommended by my colleague and he was worth the money. Although on the pricier side, John will help you with music selection, recommendations, and provide state of the art equipment (mics, sub woofers, even a disco ball). Prior to our wedding,he sat down with us for 3 hours choosing music for our ceremony and reception. I was really happy with the dance music at the end of the night. I had so much fun at my wedding. Thanks John!

It pains me to give 1 star to any vendor but I figure brides should know who they are paying for before they book a vendor. I had a HORRIBLE experience with Bijan Bakery. I first found them at a bridal fair in the south bay, loved their cake, and they were on the top of my list to check out as my potential wedding cake baker. I ended up booking them and this is my experience: First impression: Mitra and Bijan are a bit snobby. They know they make great cakes so I will disregard their attitude. They remind me of the "soup nazi" on Seinfeld. Cake meetings: they are only available to meet from Monday - Thursday. Very inconvenient for me (since I live in S.F.) but whatever, we made it down there regardless. Follow ups: You have to follow up with them. I was wondering why 2 weeks before the wedding they didn't contact us to finalize our cake design. We had to call them and it took another week before we were able to meet. Week before our wedding: We "finalize" our design on Monday before our Saturday wedding. We finally meet Bijan the baker and owner (?) of Bijan Bakery. He was pleasant and reassured us that whatever we wanted he can make. We settled on a 3 tier cake with flowers on top, some scroll design, and purple cherry blossoms. Everything seemed set, he drew our design on our contract. Day of our wedding: I sit down at the head table and nearly had a heart attack. My cake was nothing like what we talked about. In fact he did exactly what I hated. The cake was 80% plain with zero decorations except for some flowers on top and some flowers placed haphazardly on each layer. My coordinator's side of the story: She told me that 1) he was late in delivering the cake and 2) when he got there he was really rude and told her that "I cannot do what the bride wanted and this is what she gets". Can you believe that?! He basically knew he was delivering a cake I was going to hate, yet he still did it. Bijan's side of the story: he claims that he didn't do my design because he thought that it would turn out ugly if he did. He said when he delivered the cake, he brought the piping with him and if I wanted, he could have easily add the decorations in 2 minutes. However, since he didn't see me he didn't bother to wait around. My reception started at 5:30 and my hubby and I arrived a little passed 5:30pm so if he really did want to wait for us he would have. When we met after my wedding (about 2 weeks later) there was a lot of "he said" "she said" between him and my coordinator. I don't know who to believe/trust but bottom line is he screwed up. He knew he was delivering something that wasn't up to par but he still did it anyways. How can such a reknowned bakery ruin someone's wedding like that? Now when I look back at my pictures I'll always be reminded of my cake disaster. Unfortunately I will not recommend Bijan to anyone. This is too huge of a mistake to overlook. I gave him 1 star for refunding us a little over 50% of the cost of our cake.

Joanne Lee Photography
Joanne is such a wonderful person. After our first meeting I knew I wanted to book her right away. Of course she is on the pricier side so my fiance and I looked around some more before finally deciding on her. From our meeting we can already feel her enthusiasm and love for photography. She is a photo journalist and her pictures are amazing, artistic, and really just captures the moment. I can't wait for our engagement session and for her to photograph our wedding.
