We had an absolutely amazing wedding day/night...that ended in an all out dance party. It was wonderful. I honestly do not even know where to begin. For now...some pictures from our very talented photographer Emma Freeman. I love her...and her pictures!
Had my hair trial the other day. Loved the back...not as much the front. After many honest and helpful opinions....I decided next trial to have him give me a little more "umph" on top and do more of a side bang on right hand side of my head.
I can't make up my mind on flowers. Here's my inspiration....
I absolutely love dahlias and orchids! I'm really leaning towards the last image....a slight mixture but still monochromatic.
BUT....I also like these...just in the deeper plum colors for the bridesmaids, bouts, and centerpieces, and a lighter shade for me.
Vase arrangements for the church...I want/need big and tall.
Absolutely love this...
Now that I post this...I'm really leaning towards the first one!
Bridesmaid dresses are Jim Hjelm Occasions style# JH5922, in black tissue taffeta.
The second picture is of my cousin (and bridesmaid)....she really does love the dress....I just told her I wasn't going to get her head in the picture! Ooops...I guess I'm not really good at taking pictures with my cell phone!
Guys will be in black tuxes with black vests and ties....probably deep pink colored ties? Not really sure yet.
We are getting married at the First Unitarian Sociey. We loved the feel of this church. It is grand and gorgeous but not as "churchy"....and it has beautiful two story windows along the whole right side that overlook downtown Minneapolis and the Walker Art Center.
Our reception will be held at the Five Event Center in Uptown (Minneapolis). We loved the modern feel that it has and think it will be perfect for our party. It is two stories, with the main bar and reception area on the first floor, and seating for guests, second bar, and dance floor on the top. It used to be an old police precinct, then a restaurant, and is now an event center. We love it!
Adrian and I met at a coffee shop in 2004. He told me that he thought I was beautiful and then literally ran away (I know...sounds kinda cheesy). One week later, we ran into each other again at the same exact spot. This time he asked if he could have a cup of coffee with me.....which turned into 5 hours of talking....and him asking me out on a date. I guess you can say...we've been dating ever since.
We got engaged in November 2008 (at the same place where we met) and are now in the process of planning our wedding on October 10, 2009.
