Hyatt Regency Jersey City
My husband and I had the wedding of our dreams at the Hyatt Jersey City on February 28, 2009. Service: The Hyatt assigns you a wedding coordinator. The wedding coordinator Monica is FABULOUS. She worked with us for months in order to perfect our menu, coordinate with our various vendors, provide other helpful suggestions, etc. Further, she was on-site the day of making sure that every aspect of the wedding was going smoothly. The Hyatt also provides you with a personal butler for the ENTIRE DAY. His name is Daniel and he is also AMAZING. He is there to help you with everything/anything you might need throughout the day. You don't realize how important this kind of service is until the day of. Another point on service, our guests could not stop raving about it. The Hyatt provides 1 waiter per table. Our guests said that they didn't have to go to the bar for a drink unless they wanted to. Also, we had vegetarians and other people with special dietary restrictions. They were very well taken care of. Food: My husband and I live in Manhattan and have very high standards for cuisine, as do many of our guests. All of our guests could not stop raving about both the cocktail hour and dinner. The food, in its preparation and presentation was truly gourmet (not fake gourmet as many catering halls are doing these days). Drinks: Our guests couldn't stop talking about the bartenders. I hardly drank, but according to them, the mixed-drinks were excellent. View: The view of Manhattan is unbelievable. Price/Value: I thought that the value that we got, for the amount we paid, was excellent. We had five star service and food and paid a fraction of what we would have paid in Manhattan with no view for the same. Summary: If you are looking to have a wedding with a true New York feel, with an excellent location, food and service, look no further. I'm happy to answer any questions about the wedding that any of you might have!

Paul Tsang-Diaz at Scott's Flowers did an AMAZING job for our 2/28/09 wedding. First, he did all of our florals. The flowers were so beautiful that they exceeded our expectations! He also organized for event design, including linens and lighting. Although I definitely gave Paul direction by telling him the color scheme that I was looking for, he truly designed the entire look and feel of the event. Many of our guests said that the flowers were some of the most beautiful that they've ever seen. In terms of Paul as a person, he was an AMAZING wedding vendor. He was: practical, always offering suggestions on how to save money without sacrificing style professional, always punctual and responsive beyond helpful on the day-of, Paul took the initiative and helped out in serving as the day-of coordinator when he realized that some of the other vendors needed guidance and direction. Other florists might have taken the "that's not my problem" approach. Instead, Paul wanted to make sure that the day went perfectly, irrespective of who's responsibility it was to do certain tasks. I could go on and on about how fabulous Paul and Scott's Flowers were. I'm happy to send pictures to anyone that may be interested in using Scott's Flowers.
