Here's what I've decided to do to satisfy each of these traditions:

Old - my mom has a box of antique lace that was hand stitched by women in my family many, many years ago. I'm going to have my florist wrap some of it around the handle of my bouquet.

New - my wedding dress! :) (Please ignore the weird, windblown model in the picture...)

Borrowed - I will have my florist attach the cross that both my mom and her mom wore at their wedding to the handle of my bouquet! You can see it in this picture of my mom on her wedding day.

Blue - cute panties! With a lucky horseshoe, thank you!

These are hair styles I'm loving right now.  All of them have different qualities that I like but all have the same feel.   Ultimately I want a low, off-center chignon with some height in the crown and softness around my face! :)

These are the dress and shoes I will be wearing for the rehearsal dinner. I also got a turquoise pashmina in case it gets chilly once the sun goes down.

My future in-laws have generously offered to host the rehearsal dinner. We've decided to have it at the Chart House in Dana Point out on the lawn overlooking the harbor. It's a gorgeous view! Chart House does a great buffet rehearsal dinner with tiki torches, Hawaiian music, and tropical decor. And since we're not having the typical Orange County beach wedding, we thought it would be nice for some of our out of town guests to spend some time by the ocean. We're expecting to have about 30 or so people attend the dinner.

So my FI and I went to a bridal show back in January and came across a booth that does cigar bars for weddings. Now, cigars had never been in the picture before that day but when FI learned of the concept, he fell in love. Hey, if he's excited about having a cigar bar at the wedding, then I want him to have it! :) So we decided to host a cigar bar out on the cocktail hour patio after dinner. We hired La Habana Cigar Co. to do the bar. They will also provide a "tobacconist" to cut and light the cigars and educate our guests on the art of tobacco. We'll also be offering our guests a glass of cognac to pair with their cigar. Fun! :)

As much as I LOVE my fuschia high heels, I have a feeling that after several hours of standing, walking, and dancing, my feet will be hurting!! I bought these cute Nine West pink sandals to change into later in the evening. Vanity only goes so far...comfort is key! :)
