Loveta is a woman you want to run your whole life. You tell her what you want and she makes it happen. She has over 30 years of wedding experience and it shows with everything she does. The staff was very professional and the food was delicious. She took care of the external vendors so I didn't even need to worry about it. The restaurant has a homey decor that needs little additional work for your tables. The only problem I had was the time. You have only two options, afternoon and evening. If you have an afternoon reception be prepared to get kicked out promptly at 4:30. No matter how full swing your party is, if they have an evening reception, you gotta leave!

We ordered a beautiful 3-tiered hexagonal cake from Asa and we're still getting compliments on how delicious it was. Asa offered a large variety of flavors and could make it any color you wanted. Couldn't ask her for more, expecially with her prices!

"Lex Bridal Designs"
I only had my dress altered there, but it was a fantastic experience! The lady who helped me was very nice and very knowledgable. She was able to make my dress shorter (because of the lacework on the bottom, a simple hemming was almost impossible), and put in my bustle OVERNIGHT and it only cost $45. I wish I had bought my dress there too! They had a small but very classy selection of dresses ranging from $300 to a couple thousand. Something for everyone!

My bridesmades bouquets, groom and groomsman bouteniers, and mothers and grandmothers corsages came out lovely. But the bridal bouquet was disastrous! I ordered 10 medium-sized burgundy calla lillies, one that's supposed to be cradled, accented with ferns, and off-white tulle that was supposed to hang 2-3 feet. What I got: 5 SMALL purple calla lillies that were less than a foot long, hand-held, not cradled, with no tulle at all. My bridesmades boutquets were literally longer than my bouquet. The woman said burgundy lillies had to be special ordered and take two weeks to come in so I was stuck with them. They didn't even offer a discount for their mistake. The complimentary bouquet that was supposed to be thrown at the reception was literally two lillies wrapped in ribbon.

This was a terrible experience! We first met with Laurie 7 months before the wedding to do our save a dates. She told us to come back for invitations 3 months before because she can get them done in 2-2.5 weeks. We did exactly that. We chose what we wanted and she gave a price estimation of $390. So far so good. Well after 3 weeks I hadn't heard from her so I called to find out the status. She then decided to tell me one of the colors I asked for are out of stock and SHE went ahead decided to order another color she thought was close enough. Then she said it would only take another week. (Up to 4 weeks) After another week I had to YET AGAIN call and ask where they were. This time she told me her printer BROKE and it was going to take even LONGER. She didn't give me a time frame yet. So after another week (Up to 5 weeks) she told me the printer was fixed and she had to actually MAKE them now, it'll take another 2 weeks. (7 weeks) When the two weeks were up (I can't remember who called who) we talked on the phone again to discuss cost. (Remember at this point the invitations should have been in the mail a week ago) She drops the bomb that because of the economy the price of paper went up and the $390 invitations are now $650!!! I told her she was insane and I refuse to pay that so she got really scared, dropped the price to $575 and offered to stamp the inner envelopes (which she used flag stamps instead of the wedding design) and threw in free envelope sealers (which she didn't even print what I wanted on them). Terrible experience, I wouldn't recommend Laurie to my worst enemy.

I was able to find a good dress at a great price. Accessories like the veil and headpiece are just as expensive as any boutique but at least they're in one convenient location. I do not recommend doing alterations there at all. They're pretty slow and charge an outrageous amount. I also do not recommend going on a Saturday or Sunday because they're very crowded and sales people are outnumbered 5 to one, so you'll be waiting quite a bit if you have multiple dresses you want to try on.
