WEDDING RECAP: Ok so now I can finally write a recap for you ladies... It wasnt as hectic as I expected it to be (probably because I had such a small wedding of 30 though). The last few hours leading up to the wedding were crazy. The wedding was at 4 and we finished setting up the place settings, making some last minute decorations and icing cupcakes that morning and it wasnt as busy as it sounded, with lots of help it was actually a pretty slow morning. I was waiting until 2 pm to start mine and my 2 bridesmaids hair. Then everything started to go crazy. We got our hair/makeup done on time but being that the wedding was at someones house and not a venue, guests started showing up really early, like an hour early. so half way through doing hair and such, people were already gathering all over the place. It was nuts.
Things I just straight up forgot:
-The mens bouttinniers! I was looking at them still in the boxes later that night thinking CRAP! I WAS SO EXCITED WHEN I MADE THOSE! oh well...
-I forgot to set up the cake table before the ceremony, which wound up being fine because I did it after the ceremony while people were walking around and socializing.
-Name cards. I forgot to put them out before everyone came too! I was going to do it right before 4pm so the wind wouldnt blow them around. I put those out before setting up the cake table too which was ok cause no one was starting to sit down yet anyways.
-Forgot to give a script of the ceremony to the guy changing the music for me. He knew about when to change the music but there was a little delay when it came time for the recessional song. Over all he did an awesome job though.
-I used christmas balls for my guestbook and had people sign them, but i forgot to put them on these cool sunflower plates i had. I left them on the table in their crappy boxes so it was kind of an eyesoar but whatever. And i forgot to put a sign saying to sign them as a guestbook but my FIL did a great job at letting people know.
So everything I forgot was minor and overall the day was a huge sucess. A lot of people came up to me saying that they were glad that my husband and I actually had a wedding. I was glad that we did it too. I'm sure a lot of people figured after we eloped that we werent going to have a wedding and it was a nice suprise when we did.
finally did them last night, and they were free because i already had all of the supplies in my giant art closet.
I love them!
Martha Stewart Guestbook. I LOVE THE DESIGN on the front thats why i bought it!
What the inside looks like (its OK)
I think i also want to buy christmas balls and have people write on those so i can put them on the tree next year!
Simple, but its just how I wanted them.
I totally stole this idea from another PWer too.

Here's how mine turned out:
<---I DIY'ed these, wrapped them in the same paper as my invites and STDs, and our monogram is on the back
I know this is a cheap picture but i forgot to take one before i wrapped them up and stowed them away...
