Jason Q Tran Photography
I've been putting off my review because I simply can't find the words to describe how much I LOVED having Jason capture our wedding images. Jason was a last minute, down to the wire addition to my dream team of wedding vendors. But he stepped up to the plate, arrived early and was ready to get down to business. On the wedding day, he kept checking my DOC's time line and moved us along so we'd stay on schedule as much as we could. Jason has the keenest most artistic eye, it's amazing. He'd take shots and I'd wonder how it would look but when I saw the final photos, my jaw dropped. Seriously. I felt like I was looking in a magazine! My thoughts were "That's not us!" I was so overjoyed! He'd also pop up out of no where, snap the shot and be gone. I never noticed him around! My family and friends nicknamed him "The Ninja Photographer!" Many of my vendors immediately wanted to use his pictures for their own portfolios as well. If you are looking for "The sure thing" than Jason is your man. You don't need to look anywhere else. His communication is excellent and prompt. I just can't express how much I loved his work. You will definitely see his work published in many magazines in the coming years.

The Treasured Petal
I was so incredibly happy with Kristin's work on the day of my wedding. Each and every single arrangement, bouquet, bout, FG basket, altar pieces was above and beyond all that I had envisioned! She thoughtfully put her magic touch on every single one! I had so many compliments about the floral decor from our guests to the vendors to the actual venue. I spoke with my venue coordinator today and she told me even the front desk and random hotel guests were raving about the arrangements! My guests at the end of the day were fighting over who would take which piece home! I loved, loved my bouquet! I provided a handkerchief from my hubby's grandmother who passed away a few months before the wedding. She wrapped the handkerchief and made it look so special. Then we drove the 14 hours home from LA to Oregon with the bouquet in the backseat. Three days later it's still alive and kicking! Kristin's personality is super sweet and warm. I felt like I was talking to an old friend. If you book Kristin, you will not regret it!

Trista Lerit Photography
Trista has such amazing talent! I remember when she was first starting out and even then her work blew me away. It's so great to see her work evolve. She also has the sweetest personality to top it off. Trista shot our e-pics as soon as we got engaged in May 2007 and before we officially announced it to our extended family and friends. We were so incredibly happy with the results (see some posted pics). I knew I wanted her to shoot our wedding but when we finally set the date she was already booked, and rightfully so! I'd be surprised if she wasn't booked every weekend in the summer! She's a photographer I whole heartedly recommend!

Jordana was one of my last minute splurges at the very end of my wedding planning. I hired her to shoot the rehearsal dinner because we had relatives coming in from as far as France just to be with us. Jordana did not disappoint. Her communication is excellent and she showed up and introduced herself to my family and got straight to work. Dear hubby and I were running late so we didn't get there until 40 mins past the start time. Everyone embraced her because of her warm and charming personality! She wasn't intrusive and was just a fly on the wall there to capture moments. She posted teasers in unbelievable RECORD TIME and dropped the CD in the mail. I loved her work!!! I wish I hired her to shoot my bridal shower. I'll def hire her to shoot future family portraits, etc. Book her now while she still has dates avail. I know she will book up soon! PM me if you have any questions!

Our hotel venue has a contract that includes the cake with Torrance Bakery or Mayers Bakery. We only went to Torrance for a tasting and booked them. We ordered the Red Velvet, White cake with fresh strawberries, and white cake with lemon mousse. The fresh strawberries were $15 extra, no biggie. This nominal balance was due two weeks before the wedding. With all that happens the last two weeks, the $15 balance slipped my mind. I received a voicemail from the bakery 1.5 weeks before asking for the balance. I was meaning to go in person to pay. I didn't call her back right away and she called me again while I was driving with a complete attitude collecting the $15. She stated that the she left "numerous messages." When I heard that I was completely irritated. Numerous = one message. It's not like I owed $450 for the cake. It was a lousy $15. I told her that I was stopping in but she insisted that I give her payment over the phone. When I told her I was driving and my purse was in the back seat, she got her attitude again...sounding as if the world was ending if they didn't get their money and stated their balance pay off policy. Ridiculous. I finally called back and gave them a credit card. Spoke to another gal who was super sweet. It wasn't the same lady as I would've recognized her voice. The cake on the day of was decorated the way we wanted and the red velvet layer a bit on the drier side according to my sister. We only had a bite of the white cake so I have no idea. I'm sure it tasted fine but just the way in which it was handled left such a bad taste in my mouth. I won't be ordering any personal cakes from them. I also just remembered that at one point I wanted my cake layers to be separated so I could have my florist fill in the gaps with fresh flowers and hydrangea. I called once and remembered it was around $15-20 extra which was no big deal. But then when I actually wanted to make the change, I called and I was quoted over $100! From $20 to $100? That the lady that quoted the $100 was the same lady that called to collect.

Tom DJ'd our wedding ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. He rocked! I gave him a long list of songs and gave him the freedom to fill in what he thought matched the mood. The ceremony ran flawlessly. We used non-traditional ceremony music like The Beatles, John Lennon and Elvis. He was AWESOME during the reception for the grand entrance and announcements. He was very laid back, fun and not cheesy at all. He took some requests from my guests and my brother & sister. They requested New Kids on the Block "The Right Stuff" and dedicated it to me to embarass me. I didn't care! It was a ton of fun and I did the whole kick leg thing in my 4" heels and gown. A ton of fun!! Tom worked so well with my coordinator, Paola. They've done a few weddings together now so it all went together very smoothly. I'd book him! He's relatively inexpensive compared to the rest!

We rented natural wood folding chairs for our ceremony. They had the best rates by far including the delivery and pick up. The chairs were in great condition!

We had already booked our DJ Tom Chandler but we needed up lighting. I shopped around the usual vendors (Rainbow Sound, Props FX, etc) but Atmosphere Events had the best pricing, communication and service! Joe Paxton was my main point of contact and his communication was excellent, thorough and prompt. I booked him over the phone without an in person consult. When I traveled down to Los Angeles the week of the wedding and met with them to decide on the colors, I was blown away by their studio!! Just all around great guys. I heard their DJ service was killer too.

AC CHAIR COVERS. By Antonia Ciolino & Company
Antonia of AC Chair Covers was really sweet and helpful during my linen/overlay process. She has a great selection of colors and products. My venue included chair covers in their cost. I only rented champagne organza overlays for the guest tables, champagne crushed satin underlays for my sweetheart and cake tables, and chair sashes to tie the linens for the tall cocktail tables. Antonia was always prompt with her communication and she even let me pick up the linens four-five days early without any charge. If you're looking for excellent service and a good selection of chair covers and table linens, try them! I know they rent to hotels as well.

I'm trying to think of how to write all the reasons why I loved Huyen. I found her online and when we spoke over the phone, I felt like I was talking to an old friend. She's super sweet, calm and very professional. She takes her business, work, and reputation very seriously and rightfully so! Her work is UH-MAY-ZING. I loved everything about my trial. I had a ton of gray hair and it was painfully evident in my trial pics. A week before my wedding, dear hubby (who also had tons of grays) and I went to get our hair colored. She came in on a Monday (her usual day off) just to accommodate our schedule because she knew we were driving in from out of state. She colored my hair and the clip-in hair extensions at the same time so they matched perfectly! And my hubby's hair color looked so natural like he turned back the clock 10 years! On the morning of the wedding Huyen showed up early before 6am to set up. She did my hair first and it was 1000% better than the trial and the trial hair was fabulous! I wanted to cry! I felt so beautiful because of her. Huyen also did my sister's short bob hair at the last minute. My sister wasn't planning to do anything because of the length but Huyen was able to play with it and make her super cute and sexy. Everyone loved what she did. I got so many compliments on my wedding day on how good my hair looked! Huyen helped all the girls in my bridal party with little things around the room and stayed beyond her contracted time just to put my veil on. She even curled my niece/flower girl's hair and my niece LOVED that she was a part of all the beauty as well! Huyen's just an all around special vendor that I would love to continue to see long after our wedding!
