We did our engagement shoot last weekend - exactly 13 months after our engagement. It was so much fun and we LOVE the way the pictures came out! Thank you a million times over to our fabulous photographer Sarah Maren and her hubby Dustin (www.sarahmaren.com).

We are sending out postcards for our Save the Dates. Here is the front:
and the back has our wedding logo (created by FI's cousin) and the wedding website address:
We hired Hannibal's Catering to do our wedding. They have offered us an amazing menu at a reasonable price. We got to do a sampling of the food we will have at our wedding and it was delicious! They have been rated #1 in the Sacramento Area for the past three years in a row! http://www.hannibalscatering.com/
We have hired our photographer: http://www.sarahmaren.com/
I absoultely love her! We will be doign our engagement pictures this Spring and I will post the pictures then. Feel free to check out her website. She does amazing work!
We finally booked our venue this weekend! Yay! We looked at more than 20 different places and ended up going back to and booking the first one we saw. It's a winery in Shingle Spings called Sogno (Sewn-yo) Winery. It means "dream" in Italian. Such a beautiful place. We are really excited. Check out their website at http://www.sognowinery.com/. I have included some photos of the venue as well.
Here is the main lawn of the Winery:
This is the Ceremony Site:
This is the Reception Hall:
And there is a little Farmhouse between the Ceremony Site and the Reception Hall where I will be able to get ready. We also have access to their barrel room for some photos. We love this site and are so excited to have booked it and set our date. September 25, 2010, here we come!
Since we have been fixing up our house, we had planned to have housewarming parties to celebrate and show off our new house to our friends and families. After the engagement, we decided to celebrate both the housewarming and the engagement together! We have had two of the parties so far (one for our friends and one for D's family). The party for my family is in June. We had to divide it into three parties because we both have huge families and lots of close friends. Due to this fact, our wedding is going to be way bigger than either of us imagined. We have asked our parents to give us a guest list so we can get an approximate number of guests in mind so we can start looking for venues, etc. I only have a list from my mom so far, but I am assuming it will be 250 to 300 people. Crazy! Putting that aside, it is nice knowing that all our friends and family love our new home and are very excited about our wedding. We are already part of eachother's families since we have been together for so long, but it will soon be official.
