We loved our invites. They coordinated so beautifully with our wedding colors pinks, reds, and whites, and they made matching Thank You notes, and place cards also! We received many compliments on our invitations, and the girls at www.notfromabox.com were great to work with. They sent me many online proofs until I was satisfied with the results. Quality card stock. Shipped promptly, just as they promised. Highly recommended.

Hana Hotel-Maui

( 5.0 / 5.0 )
One of my favorite places on the planet! There is only one Hotel in Hana, and it is WONDERFUL! We stayed in a Sea Ranch cottage, right on the lawn, which was like a little house! There was a jacuzzi on our porch! The fridge was stocked with complimentary snacks and drinks, including a bottle of champagne! We got massages at their spa, which were included in our package from COSTCO TRAVEL and they were fantastic. The food from room service isn't the greatest so next time we will stop and bring groceries with us because there is a mini-kitchen in the cottage. Just about the only other place for food is TUTU'S right on Hana Beach, but it's a real hole-in-the-wall place and I wasn't too sure about eating there. My DH convinced me, and I had a pretty good breakfast sandwich, but they take a LONG time (usually only one person working). If you want to enjoy the site of Hana Bay and don't mind waiting, check it out.

We tried to make advance reservations at the Old Lahaina Luau but they were sold out well in advance. We decided to try this one. It was crowded, and the food was OKAY, but not GREAT. The entertainment was pretty Vegas-Style, but we had to do a Luau on Maui, so it was okay with us. The Mai Tais were really watered down, but my DH went to the bar to ask for another "splash of rum" and they gladly gave it to him.

OUR FAVORITE RESTAURANT Mama's Fish House in Paia - AMAZING!!!! On the menu it even gives you the name of the person who CAUGHT the fish you're about to eat. The beach right outside is popular with wind-surfers, so you get a free show. Make a Reservation!

Middle Ranch Lodge

( 5.0 / 5.0 )
Middle Ranch turned out to be such a spectacular wedding location. We continue to receive compliments from guests on what a lovely place it was. All of the florals and greenery came out so beautifully in all our pictures. In fact, there wasnt one bad place to take pictures at the entire location! Debbie and the staff are very helpful, but you have to ask for help. They usually wont volunteer. The bridal suite is very nice, air-conditioned and well kept, except there is not a bathroom in it. You have go to the main lodge to use the restroom. It was a great place to get ready, with lots of room, and the girls and I had fun. All of the tables were set up exactly according to the map that Debbie and I went over. There were some girls there to look after the gifts that people had brought, which was very nice. A receptionist was there to answer questions, but again, they dont really volunteer their help. It is a really unique space, and I loved the setup. We put the bar inside the lodge, and that is where we also had the cocktail hour, and where we served hors douerves. The doors were open so guests could mingle outside or inside if they like, which was nice. We set up our place cards on the table at the entrance to the lodge, and Middle Ranch has an easel to use if you want to display a photo, which we did, and it was a nice touch. It gets hot at Middle Ranch! Dont have your heart set on one ceremony area. There are two lawns to choose from. Go to Middle Ranch around the date of your wedding, at the time of your ceremony, and look to see where the direct sunlight is, and plan your ceremony location accordingly. We switched our ceremony location after arriving for our rehearsal and seeing that our guests would be in direct sunlight! It will help tremendously and guests will be much more comfortable! We had the caterer set up a table at the ceremony area with bottled water on ice and our guests really appreciated it. It worked out great.

Next Exit Photography

Two Words Phenomenal Photographer! Again, I knew I had to meet Adi after seeing his photos in another brides bio, and we booked him on the spot. His artistic vision and eye for capturing detail is amazing. He made us feel so comfortable and at ease throughout the entire wedding, including the hour of formal portraits! My DH and I both agree that we could not have asked for a better photographer. He was there the entire evening, from getting ready to saying goodbye in the limo. We received all of our proofs (all 600+ of them!!!!) in a gorgeous leather-bound proof album that Cathryn organized for us! We cannot stop looking at our wonderful pictures! In addition, all of our photos are posted on their online website so family and friends can order prints directly from Next Exit, and we dont have to deal with the hassle! He captured looks on faces and tears and smiles in photos that we will cherish forever, scouted out great photo-op locations, and I remember seeing him in the middle of the dance floor doing the Hora taking some of the most fantastic action shots of the wedding! Adi caught so many wonderful moments throughout our day that we would have missed had he not been there. I call that priceless!

I fell in love with Amandas work after seeing photos in another brides bio and knew that I had to meet her. She works out of her home in San Juan Capistrano, and my BM and I drove down to see her. We looked through boxes of photos of her wonderful designs. I dont know a whole lot about flowers, and I wasnt really particular about the types of flowers she used (except carnations I said no carnations!) so I described to her my vision with the color combinations all shades of pinks, reds, and whites. When the flowers arrived on my wedding day, I was beside myself! She had created my vision! I had seen pictures of her clay pot centerpieces (tall pots, not the standard short ones) and thought they would coordinate really well with our site, and again, I was not disappointed. They looked amazing! Amanda also provided us with our chuppah, and I described to her that I wanted the posts wrapped with greenery with splashes of color. When I walked down the aisle and saw my DH standing underneath the chuppah, it was just another confirmation of how great Amandas work is. She has a lot of brides, and is sometimes difficult to get a hold of, but on the Monday of the week of my wedding, she called me to tell me that it was my week, and she gave me her undivided attention. I had also asked for her to bring some flowers for my hair, and they arrived with all sorts of large and small roses all wired to put in the back of my hair, and all my BM's put them in their hair also! We also rented our cupcake tree from Amanda, which turned out to be so cute! Highly recommended.

Rabbi Jerry Fisher

( 5.0 / 5.0 )
We needed to find a Rabbi willing to do an interfaith wedding, and Rabbi Fisher was highly recommended to us by friends. In fact, he was my DHs Rabbi years ago too funny! We met with him and instantly loved him. He is so easy to talk to, and very respectful of an interfaith couples special situation and needs. He gave us a complete packet full of sample passages and readings, and we chose which ones we liked best, and customized our ceremony. He included each and every special request that we made, and was wonderful on our wedding day! So many people have told me what a beautiful ceremony we had, and its all due to Rabbi Fisher. Highly Recommended!
