Alan Katz was definitely a really cool guy and absolutely hilarious! The only down side was the price...extremely high for an hour of work. I suppose if I had utelized the phone consultations or other services offered in that price package, it would have been a little easier to swallow. Truth be told, I really didn't need to ask questions or use him for anything except the ceremony. Believe me, I am in no way complaining about the service...he is worth it! If you are not on a tighter budget, I would recommend him though, simply for the fact that he entertained our guests during the ceremony, and made the ceremony a great, light-hearted affair. I had people ask me after the wedding, if he was a comedian...apparently so! He was extremely easy to get a hold of, get along with, on time, and very professional in every way, I just wish he could lower his price a bit...I have one more daughter to get through! He arrived at about 4:30, the ceremony started at 5:00pm and the ceremony was over at about 5:25pm.

This was probably the best purchase of the entire wedding so far! I got 75 votive candle holders and candles! They came in the exact purple that my daughter chose for her wedding colors...regancy purple. I think the most trouble I had with Cudge, was trying to decide if I wanted to mix and match the colors or stick with all purple. Her colors being used in flowers are all of the beautiful tropical, bright sunset oranges, reds, yellows, purples and of course bridal white. As you can see, from their photo, they have those colors, so I thought it would look classy to have an array of color on the tables...but decided to stick with one color...purple. Extremely fast delivery, nothing broken, high quality candles and very high quality glass...I was very pleased with this company. Customer service was fantastic and overall a pleasure to do business with. If planning this wedding didn't scare me off from ever wanting to plan another wedding, I would use them again and again!

I was extremely disappointed in the professionalism of this company. Richard Ortiz and Staff did show up to do the job, but on a wedding day, you expect everything to run somewhat smooth...it was anything but smooth. We had guests that spotted his staff (they are all family members), taking expensive items off the tables during the reception, while people were dancing. In the beginning, I refused to believe it, because Richard seemed so honest and trust worthy. I had an heirloom linen, from Ireland, taken as well. I called him the next morning to retrieve it, he apologized and said he would send it back to me asap...it is now 8 months later and he still refuses to take my calls, give an explanation as to why he did not return it, or, even apologize for lost and stolen cameras...just a mess! I hired him, because I liked his integrity, or so I thought. All i asked for was a sorry or an explanation, and instead, I get no calls, he will not answer the call, unless i call from a number he does not recognize...pretty lame. The food was average, but not extrordinary at all. Everything was served in aluminum foil pans, and he had to rent glasswear and silverware from another vendor. He fed his staff before us,and then took all the leftovers...including our wedding cake top, that was stored in the freezer at the venue! His Sister's (the wait staff) went around to all the tables and collected the wedding favors that were on the tables (without asking), then proceeded to take 6 wedding centerpieces, which the vases were supposed to be returned to florist...that cost me $45.00 per vase! I just cannot describe how disappointed I am, it is a true shame that all this happened. Honesty matters, and you will not get that from this company, not at all. Hope this helps!

Location, location...location! This venue, was a must have, for my daughter and her fiancee, the minute they pulled up in the parking lot. We searched around many venues, stressed out about each one, as they all had something different and unique to offer...with a price tag attached. My daughter called me and said, "mom, we will do anything to have this place, anything!" So I went down the very next day and booked it. I will warn you though, it is a "no-frills" venue, meaning, there will be work involved, plenty of it! I decided against a wedding planner and wish I hadn't! All in all though, the beauty of this venue will by far, make up for the temporary headaches of remembering what I have done so far and not done so far. The staff at this venue is fantastic too, they are always there to offer advice, show you around and especially if you want to talk whales, they love to talk whale migration! Plan a wedding during the month of May, you will definitely have a few whales as wedding guests. The venue will assign one or two staff members to watch over the big day for you, lock up after you, so be nice to them, offer them food, drinks and plenty of smiles throughout the day or night, they deserve a little fun too! The venue does have a couple down sides to it, every fairytale has an ending right? So here it is...small venue, no more than 150...MAX! This means do not try to sneak in 151. The reception will be a short one too...realistically, about 3 hours. We put 5pm on our invitations, to allow for guests to arrive and be seated at their oceanfront seats, ceremony should start about 5:30, run until 5:45-6pm, pictures will immediately follow and hopefully our guests will migrate up to have a few cocktails for about a half an hour or so, while they snap a few memorable shots of breathtaking wedding photos. Then the rest of the festivities, should and must stay on track until 10pm when the music has to stop...City ordinance. The room has to be cleaned and put back as if there was never a wedding by midnight, we are calling it the Cinderella Syndrome :) You will be responsible for bringing in all your own food, alcohol, decorations (if any), bartenders, staff, music, vendors, lighting, heaters, dance floors...the works. All those things can be very costlt, I know! I cut corners where I could and splurged where I could...so it really just depends on what is important to you. I didn't get a dance floor, the built in whale design on the outdoor patio is kind of cool and a neat conversation point, so voila! that is the dance area, hopefully all the boogie woogie moves will keep everyone warm without heaters and most of the over 30 crowd will be seated indoors anyway. This place is full of natural beauty, so decorating should stay at a minimum really, so you can save a bit there, but lighting, might be an issue and i am still trying to figure that one out, I will keep you all posted on that issue :) As well as let you know how the event ends up...beautifully I am sure!
