Glendale Flowers & Gifts

( 5.0 / 5.0 )
Denise at Glendale Flowers is a mastermind. She had so, so many wonderful, creative ideas for us. We met with her once and hammered out all the details, and then we decided to change the whole color scheme, and she was great about it. Denise really knew what she was talking about when it came to flowers, and I couldnt be happier with what she delivered. She is also very familiar with other vendors in the area and has great working relationships with them. Although it was pricey, it is definitely worth it.

Royal Tailors

( 5.0 / 5.0 )
Oki at the Royal Tailor was fabulous. She was able to alter my difficult to alter dress and she fashioned a bustle that was better than I could have imagined. She even covered the buttons with fabric to match my antique gold colored dress. Oki also made me two veils. She ordered and reordered fabric to make sure the color matched my dress perfectly. I highly recommend her!

The Whiskey Ranch

( 2.0 / 5.0 )
Apparently a popular destination for bachelorette parties, but Im not quite sure why. They have a mechanical bull for patrons to ride, but I do not recommend it. I felt obligated to ride because that was why my ladies wanted us to go there. I rode the bull and the operator of the bull took no mercy on me. I had to go to the chiropractor from the side effects of being thrown off the bull. You wont find the highest caliber of people in this joint. But, I suppose if you like to be ogled my strange men this might be right up your alley. Thumbs down!

Bride + Groom Publications / Expo

( 3.0 / 5.0 )
It was definitely fun to walk around and taste the many food samples. It was also helpful to find some inspiration in some of the creative wedding ideas that vendors had. However, it was very crowded and there was a fee to enter (which I felt guilty about since I dragged about 7 other people there). The fashion show was horrible. I couldnt believe the gowns and dresses that they decided to model! Overall, I think this experience was more overwhelming than beneficial.

A Piece of Cake

( 4.0 / 5.0 )
I loved the cake and was very happy with the outcome. It looked exactly like what we had talked about and it tasted fantastic too. Their frosting was delicious, very light. We had four different flavors, and nobody was disappointed. The only drawback was the intimidating owner who was not great with his people skills. I felt like we were annoying him with our questions.

The Toledo Club

( 5.0 / 5.0 )
Absolutely beautiful venue for a wedding and reception. The Toledo Club asked for a sponsor, and my uncle was a member so we did not have any trouble booking. Im not sure if you can book without a sponsor or not, but it is definitely worth looking into. We had our ceremony in one room, cocktail hour in the red room, then everybody headed to the third floor for dinner, and then the reception was back on the main floor. It was so neat to utilize so many different rooms for one wedding. You wont need a whole lot of decoration as the club is already so beautiful and full of character. There are pictures on their website, www.toledoclub.org.

Alliance Entertainment

( 5.0 / 5.0 )
Alliance was great. They provided ceremony music, dinner music, and reception music. They met with me twice before the big day and were very prepared. They had every little detail covered; including things I never would have even thought of. We had some obscure music selections and they found them all for us. I definitely recommend them. They make the music what you want, not what they want and they are very professional.

Park Inn Toledo

( 2.0 / 5.0 )
The location was very convenient to our wedding/reception location but that was about the only good thing (oh yeah, they werent unreasonable price wise). The rooms were just so-so, a bit outdated. They said they had a shuttle that would drop off and pick up guests, but the day of the wedding, that did not happen. There were quite a few complaints from the guests at our wedding about loud noise from other guests. I know there arent a lot of great hotels to choose from in downtown Toledo, I think its just a matter of choosing the lesser of a few evils.

Reve Salon & Spa

( 4.0 / 5.0 )
This salon is quite pricey so be prepared! I had Nicole, the wedding specialist do my hair. A trial run costs you the same amount as when your hair is done the day of your wedding. I was very happy with the results, and Nicole was very good under pressure. She had no problem when I asked her to change a few things, and she had great suggestions too. She did my highlites before the wedding and made sure she did them so that they would look optimal with my style on the wedding day. Other than the expense, I would recommend Reve.

Men's Warehouse

( 4.0 / 5.0 )
We did not have any problems with Mens Wearhouse. All the guys tuxes fit and looked great. They even accommodated one groomsman who was out of the country and could not get fitted until the week before the wedding. Its expensive, so be sure to take advantage of any specials or perks they have going on.
