We got our cake through a suggestion by our catering director at our reception venue. We wanted something whimsical and fun, and had been looking at a lot of the "Mad Hatter" style of cakes. Once we submitted the design we were interested in, they let us know what the cost would be for that design, as well as a couple of alternatives (which was very important, because money is always an issue with weddings!). They were patient and flexible in helping us decide the final design that would still work with our budget. When I saw the cake at the reception, I was blown away! The fondant work, with its stripes, diamonds, and hearts, was just amazing! Everyone was so "WOW"ed by the cake, and so was I! I heard a lot of comments that "It looks like it's from Ace of Cakes!" Except that I didn't have to go to Maryland to get it! Not only did it look stunning, but it tasted wonderful, too! It was the most delicious chocolate cake I've ever had.

Blush salon, in Yardley, PA, was where I had been going for about the last 6 months for my usual hair care. I knew they were great, so I set up a hair and makeup trial. Needless to say, they met my high expectations. And they did an even better job for the actual day. Dana did my hair, and she had just as much fun as the rest of my bridal party was having. Rebecca did my makeup (as well as shaping my eyebrows a few days before) and it was flawless. My entire bridal party also got their hair done, as well as their eye makeup, and everyone turned out beautifully! Everyone at Blush is always so friendly and accomodating; they were happy to bring us all whatever we needed (from water, to coffee, to a nerve-relaxing mimosa!). It was a wonderfully pampering experience!

Carciofi Design was professional, quick, and very friendly when it came to helping me choose my invitations. Caroline Britton contacted me shortly after I placed my sample order, and informed me that the price included 2 samples, not just 1 (plenty of other places would just take that money and run!). I was already impressed. When it came time to order, she made it fast and easy to finalize the wording WE wanted, by showing us PDF proofs of the invitations (that really set my mind at ease). Everything arrived promptly, and the instructions for assembly were very easy to follow, so that we ended up with beautiful and professional looking invitations that we put together ourselves. I only have 2 suggestions: 1)suggest using a little more double-sided tape! We had to run out and buy more; and 2)The ribbon on the sample invitation we received was not exactly the same color as the ribbon we got for our actual invitations. It was not a problem, but make sure you always use the same color. :) Overall, my experience was phenomenal, and I would absolutely recommend them in the future. It was a splurge for me, but 100% worth it.

It helped that I had worked with Eddie, the owner of Studio D, a couple of times before for other events. I knew his personality and shooting style, and I knew it would be perfect for my day. He comes out with 2 other people, his wife Connie and his brother Mike. Connie is there for support; she helps arrange, adjust, and fetch whatever is necessary, and Eddie and Mike do all the shooting. They were so energetic! They were up, they were down, they were here, they were there; I have no doubt that between the two of them they probably shot every possible angle of the ceremony and reception space. They are young, fun, and innovative, and that worked just perfectly for us.
