The first time I went shopping I thought that I had found the perfect dress. It was the third one I tried on so I had them write it down and continued to keep looking I figured if it was perfect I would still love it next time I tried it on when my mom came with me. Well I had just had a baby and my body was going through alot of changes so the next time I tried it on it didnt look so good. But here is a picture of the first dress, still to this day the one I chose is amazing. I just went and had a fitting to have the hem and bustle and put it on with my shoes and it is gorgeous.
I went to two stores and wedding dress shopping on three different occasions before finding the perfect dress. It was the last dress of about a million that I tried on. I was just thinking what the heck this is cute lets see what it looks like since none have really grabbed my attention yet. And I walked out of the dressing room and my mom and FMIL both said thats it that is perfect. Well it was a discontinued dress at the store so its a good thing I am small and the dress fit me perfectly. Btw the date is wrong. This was in December of '08.
We are getting married at Blanchard Chapel in Bow, WA it is a beautiful little chapel that was built in 1911 as a church. The congregation got too large so the church decided to relocate and sold the chapel. The owner has kept everything original and turned it into a chapel, the bell and all.
The reception will be held about 100 yards down the road at the community hall which is an old railroad station. It is all so historical and has alot of character. We are doing a very formal black and white wedding so the receptional hall will need some decorations but the chapel is perfect and I am looking forward to how it all turns out. July 6th we have a walk through with our planner to finalize decoration details and start buying all that we need.
We had been talking about getting engaged for a very long time. We were pregnant and knew we wanted to be together for the rest of our lives. So technically there was a very informal proposal and a formal proposal. We were talking about our wedding when we had only been dating for week. We were just talking about where we wanted to get married, when and other minor details things just felt right between us. Anyway the formal proposal came in April of 2008. I had been bugging Craig for some time to get the couches out of our spare bedroom in our apartment so we could start turning it into a nursery. Well it took months to get those out and I figured it would be a perfect time to get them out and the paint up while I was in California with my family since I was pregnant and could not be around the paint. I called and asked if he had gotten rid of the couches yet the day before I was coming home and he said no. I was disappointed but just said okay well I want to do that this weekend then. When I got home I gave him a hug and a kiss, then for some reason there was baby music playing in our apartment. I walked into the spare room he had cleaned it out, painted it, set it up and had flowers, a card and a ring on the floor. I sat down in front of the flowers so he never actually got down on one knee because one I was in the way and two I was sitting on the floor so he just sat behind me. Silly me I opened the ring first got really nervous then opened the card and it simply said "Marry me!" I turned around and kissed him like ten times. I never even said yes I just kept kissing him. It was such a sweet way to propose and totally perfect.
Craig and I met on September 11, 2006. I was working in a little diner on the side of HWY 2. He was on his way home from a climbing trip in my hometown of Leavenworth. It was a slow Monday morning and since I was in college I had not yet started school, it was only him and his friend in the restaurant and he was intrigued with me. We got to talking and he was very interested in my great ambitions. I wanted to be an engineer. We both were in relationships so talking at the restaurant is about as far as our relationship went. He however did leave me his email and a few days later I emailed him. We never hung out and drifted apart. I moved to Wenatchee and school starter he got busy with work and his girlfriend. When we had talked when we first met we really connected and I felt that I could tell him anything, he was like my Knight in shining armor. He protected me, told me I was wonderful and always lifted me up. We could talk for hours. Needless to say my boyfriend dumped me and I was lost. I found myself wondering what Craig was upto. So I found his number in my emails and texted him randomly in January. He and his girlfriend had been arguing alot so he came over to visit me. Almost 2 and a half years ago. We are still together getting married in September, I wanted to get married on the 11th but was told that was morbid plus it is my sisters Bday so we are getting married on the 12th which is a Saturday anyway. We have a one year old together who is going to be our flower girl. She is the most beautiful little girl and watching her with her dad makes me fall in love all over again.
