Hey Ladies ~

If you're in the market for a spectacular dress, you have stumbled upon the perfect post! My dress was made exclusively for Distinctive Designs in Rockville, MD and other than having the neckline changed from straight strapless to sweetheart and adjustments to the length, no alterations were necessary.

I'm 5'4" and wore 3" heels for the ceremony then changed to flip flops. The dress didn't drag nor did it look too short when in heels. Street size 6/8 and it fit like a glove. It's not the typical "wedding dress weight" so no issue dancing and didn't feel weighed down moving through the room. I also had no problem sitting for dinner or making the dreaded trips to the ladies room. Gently worn (only for the few hours on wedding day) and it's been cleaned and is ready to be worn.

I love everything about this dress, but would like to pass it on to someone else who is looking for that perfect fit. It will hug you in all the right places and make you feel like the queen you are. Please email me if you're interested.

Original Price: $1800; Price Paid: $1300. Selling price negotiable.

It was everything I dreamed of and more, even with the 40 degree temps and rain! Are you kidding me?! Honestly, no one even noticed the rain or the temps... we had the time of our lives. I'll post more pictures when our photog (AWESOME!!!!) gets them to us early next week, but the link above will give you some teasers. Everyone had a blast and our family and friends really made it the best. day. ever.

Thanks to all of you for the ideas and support throughout the planning process.

We're shooting for romantic and we both think this fits the bill... not a lot of overhead lighting and tons of candles. Now we need to look into uplighting. Joy :)

So the first cake is two suitcases with labels from places the couple has been. Too cute! And the second cake, we're totally in love with. Might go square, but this is the design we are going for. Love.

This is our church, Foundry United Methodist, located between Dupont and Logan Circles in NW DC. We LOVE it here!

And our reception cite, The Franciscan Monastery's St. Francis Hall. Inside the hall is hardwood floors throughout, exposed brick walls with arches leading to a terracotta porch, exposed beams/wooden ceiling. We're planning on using candles galore, so it's going to look very romantic and cozy.
