We fell madly in love with this place as soon as we walked in. Glen Foerd is a 19th-century riverfront estate. This Victorian mansion, on 18 acres of English Park gardens, overlooks the Delaware River and embraces a priceless art gallery, Tiffany skylights, and original furnishings. As our guests pulled up to the front of the mansion, they were be greeted by complimentary valet parking. The ceremony was on the water front with live music provided by a violinist and cellist. The ceremony was simple, just me and Chad involved. We were honored to be married by Chad’s Uncle, Edward Lewis. A butlered wine greeting after the ceremony welcomed the guests back into the mansion to signal the start of cocktail hour. During cocktail hour the guests were welcomed to tour the historic mansion and grounds and peruse the art gallery featuring original works by Van Gogh, Monet, and Rembrandt or simply relax while enjoying the musicians, horderves and drinks. Dinner was held in the formal dining room followed by dancing and dessert in the riverside conservatory.
