**Reposted from a dup Harvest Inn listing on PW**

I'm so glad we had our wedding at the Harvest Inn (May 2007). During the venue-searching process, the Harvest Inn was the first place we looked at. Due to the price, I got a little scared and looked elsewhere in the Napa and Sonoma valleys, but we just couldn't get the Harvest Inn out of our minds.

Like djrs also mentioned, the Harvest Inn is such a fantastic place. When turning onto their driveway from the 29, it's like you're entering another world. The grounds are incredibly lush, and the buildings so quaint - very fairy-tale like. The views...nothing less than spectacular. The vineyards and Mayacamus Mountains in the background make for an absolutely stunning setting.

Shana also came on during my planning process. She definitely impressed the socks off of me. She was always in contact, whether by phone or email, seeing how I was doing or if I needed help with anything. She was by far one of my favorite people to deal with in planning the wedding.

The experience you'll have at the Harvest Inn cannot be duplicated anywhere in the Valley. It's truly such a unique and gorgeous place. During the wedding, my guests couldn't stop commenting on what an outstanding place the Harvest Inn was...I had to agree!

Netbride.com

( 5.0 / 5.0 )
Netbride was great. We saved a ton of money on our Bill Levkoff #301 bridesmaid dresses, and the dresses arrived in only two months! They were very nice whenever I called with questions. I also appreciated how they emailed me when they received my order, to confirm my order, and to let me know when the dresses were shipping/tracking info. I considered using Pearl's Place, but didn't appreciate the rude service I got over the phone when calling with questions. Netbride - highly recommended!

The girls from my work got the cake from this Rockwells for my office bridal shower. It was SO GOOD, and so incredibly cute. If we would've gotten married in Southern CA, I would've used them.

Zappos.com

I purchased my Anne Klein shoes from Zappos at a great price - they were going for at least $100 more on other bridal shoe websites. Loved Zappos return policy. Highly recommended.

Alex's Catering

( 3.0 / 5.0 )
I'll start off by saying the food tasted REALLY good at the wedding; we also had a great time at the tasting. Our sales rep was incredibly nice, as was the wait staff at the wedding. With that said, there were some issues I had with them at the wedding. My biggest beef was the cost. I understand things are pricey in the Napa Valley; however, I don't think what we got from them warranted such high costs, especially for a dry wedding. Also, apparently there was some miscommunication about the drinks at the tables for the guests - they were wrong, and clashed unmercifully with our linens. They also didn't provide a few items that were on our agreed-upon menu, which REALLY disappointed me. The service was unusually slow, and they cut our cake into microscopic pieces for our guests, even though we had enough to go around (it was embarrassing). I was hoping for more for the price we paid.

Davis Ramey

( 5.0 / 5.0 )
Mr. Ramey's trio did an excellent job at our wedding. We had the "ambiance trio" play, which consisted of two violins and a guitar. They sounded GREAT (and I'm very picky when it comes to woodwinds). Mr. Ramey was in constant contact with me, by email and phone. In fact, I think he initiated the contact more than I did! I really appreciated that. Highly recommended.

Hyatt Regency Maui

( 4.0 / 5.0 )
We stayed a week at the Hyatt for our honeymoon. It was our first time to Maui. The hotel and its grounds were very pretty, but for what we were paying for our room, I expected more! The grounds are gorgeous - I think the best out of the hotels in Kaanapali. Lots of tropical plants, gorgeous pools and an awesome water slide. The buffet breakfasts there were amazing. So much good food with a SPECTACULAR view of the grounds and the ocean. Their sushi bar is great, and their fruity drinks can't be missed. If staying in Kaanapali, I would definitely recommend staying here!

fleur de lisa cakes

( 5.0 / 5.0 )
The cake Lisa created for us was incredible. We had a few guests say that it was the best cake they had ever had (really!). The Cafe Ole, Lemon Poppy Royale and "Karat" Cake flavors were absolutely devine. The three-tier, ivory buttercream cake was exquisitely decorated, even better than I had requested! The flowers were just gorgeous, and perfectly placed. We had asked she use a silver cake stand we had purchased locally, and she had no problems doing so (no extra charges, either). Highly recommended. You will not be disappointed!

We used Williamson & Co. in Downtown Napa for the tuxedos. The gentlemen there are a pleasure to work with. Very professional and knowledgeable. Great prices, too.

I ordered a custom veil with crystals on it. The crystals kept falling off, as they were glued on. I didn't want to deal with this at the wedding, so I bought another veil from one of their competitors.

Lush Floral

( 5.0 / 5.0 )
Jennifer of Lush Floral is a complete God-send. She is amazingly talented. The flowers she did for our wedding were SPECTACULAR. During our first meeting, I showed her pictures of floral arrangements I liked. She took those ideas and made them into some of the most beautiful arrangements I have ever seen. She was one of my most favorite people to work with. She was very prompt in returning my emails/phone calls. On the day of the wedding, she came by and said "hi" and to see how things were going. That really impressed the socks off me. She was really a great vendor. Highly, highly, highly recommended!

Classic Party Rentals Napa

( 4.0 / 5.0 )
I really liked everything we used from La Bella, which included fruitwood chiavari chairs, pearlized chargers, tables and five different types of linens. Going to their Napa facility to pick everything out was SO FUN - they have a huge selection to choose from. La Bella was on the pricey side, and my planner did say she was having some contract issues with them due to La Bella being purchased by another company. Everything looked great at the wedding, so I guess everything was worked out!

Jigsaw Events

( 2.0 / 5.0 )
I have many things to say about Jigsaw Events, but won't say all in the interest in being professional. I hired them for full-service wedding coordination. What I got essentially was day-of coordination. The wedding day went generally great, and I'm sure they played a part in making that happen (hence the two stars). Kelly also led us to a few great vendors, whom I might not have know of otherwise. However, everything before that was another story. Communication is definitely not one of their strong points, which was immeasureably frustrating with planning the wedding from so far away. On occassion, weeks would pass before we'd hear back from her; when we did hear back, she'd be quite defensive. Her poor communication also spilled over to our vendors. They'd call/email me with questions because they couldn't get a hold of Kelly (wasn't that her job??!). My husband and I were so fed up with this unprofessionalism that I consulted with the (defense) attorneys I worked for - they heard all elements of the story, reviewed our contract as well as communications with her and advised us to "take the appropriate measures" with them. We didn't, just more stress. Jigsaw's pricing for full-service planning is much cheaper than the rest of the wedding planners' in the Napa Valley. I think that's for a reason - you get what you pay for... The real kicker is that Kelly could be a real pleasant and jovial person and had good ideas; she also spent time with us looking at venues and meeting with vendors. I had such a good feeling about her, at least in the beginning. There's potential there, but it just fell short, very short. Save yourself the headache and unnecessary stress and go elsewhere.

White Aisle

( 3.0 / 5.0 )
We ordered our programs, menus, table no.'s, place cards, favors and monogrammed handkerchiefs from the White Aisle. Pros: The paper products turned out just great, as did the handkerchiefs. They worked really closely with me via email to make sure the programs/menus/table no.'s/place cards were exactly what I wanted. They even designed menus and programs for me that weren't on their website, which I really appreciated! Cons: I ordered the favors (and handkerchiefs) in mid-February; they didn't arrive until 3 months later, at the hotel the Friday before the wedding. The boxes were really cute with the custom-designed label, and even with the green ribbon that was different than I had ordered. Happy I had actually received them, I didn't bother to check what was inside of the favor boxes until at the reception. We ordered white buttermints, the same what my parents had at their wedding 35 years before; the white would have also matched everything quite nicely. When opening the box at the head table, I realized they gave us white-and-red hard candy mints and salt water taffy. I was so incredibly disappointed and embarrassed! Their payment system on their website is weird, too - not consistent. Some things you purchase first through Paypal; other things you're sent invoices for. Very strange.

Robbins Bros. - Mission Viejo, CA

( 5.0 / 5.0 )
My hubby and I got my engagement ring and our wedding bands at this Robbins Bros. I really liked it there - they treat you like superstars. Upon entry, you're greeted and introduced to someone who can help you. You're offered bottled water or any other type of drink (including espresso-based drinks). They have a great selection of rings. If there's something online but not in-store, they'll ship it to the store. Compared to other jewelers in Southern CA, they're very resonably priced. I just love going back there to get my ring cleaned and sparkly!
