I have bought a lot of things during the past year and here are few things I have decided not to use for my vow renewal on 11/27/10.    These items are available right now.    Only paypal payments will be accepted.  If interested in any item, send me a PM.  Prices do not include shipping.

Thanks in advance for taking the time to look . . . I hope you find something you can use for your event.  I am not looking to make a profit, but just simply recoup some of the money I spent on these items.  So if there is something you really want, please feel free to also make me a reasonable offer.

Happy shopping . . . .

I am really torn about what to do with my nails.   As a gal who likes to keep thing natural, I absolutely will not be wearing any fake nails.   In doing some wedding planning research, I ran across the new chic thing concept called "Minx nails."

If you watch the Real Housewives of Atlanta, you would have seen some of the ladies wearing minx nails.  I also hear that Beyonce wears minx nails.

What are minx nails?

With minx nails, you receive a manicure then they apply the minx. The Minx is a layer of film that adheres to the nail when heat is applied (it's a lamp that stays over top of the nail that makes the film "melt" to the nail.) Then they cut and shape the remaining film.  Minx nail application lasts about 2 weeks but the more water(mainly hot) and lotion you use will effect the lifetime of the minx.
For more information, go to

Prices of minx nails range anywhere from $35-70 depending on the salon.  It is recommended that you get the nails put on the day of or the day before.

I am not a DIY bride . . . don't have the patience, the skill, the time or the creativity.  President Obama captures my sentiments about DIY in this cartoon:

Signage photo 1

So, I do the next best thing.  I buy other people's DIYs.   And Yes, I have been doing a lot of shopping.   I bought this lovely sign to direct guests to our reception venue:

I also bought these reserved seating signs to use during the ceremony (one for the bride's family and one for the groom's family):

During our rehearsal dinner, I plan to pass out cards (similar to the one pictured below) to immediate family and close friends to facilitate their sitting arrangements at the ceremony:

My fabulous invitation suite was created by fellow PW bride (Bellabride).

I can't say enough about Stephanie's hard work, understanding and creativity.   I asked Stephanie to make me a variety of wedding invitations that matched the theme and color scheme of our wedding.   She presented me with several wonderful mock-ups, was extremely patient with me and my husband as we tried to make up our minds about what we wanted.  Throughout the process, I was consistently impressed with her creativity, unique style, patience and hard work.  Steph is so helpful and her work is beautiful.   She is very good at listening to what you want, and then producing something that far exceeds your imagination!   Designing invitations is a tedious chore of wedding planning and I was so overwhelmed with so many ideas, but Steph was always able to allay my fears and point me in the right direction.  No matter how many changes I made or how many times I changed my mind, Steph never complained . . . She just went about creating my masterpiece of an invitation suite.

I liked the Celebration of Love wording and band from a old PW post on the invitation listed.  Instead of doing a monogram with our initials for on our bellybands, I asked Steph to recreate the stylemepretty bellyband using my wedding colors (here is the link to old PW post containing my Stylemepretty inspiration -

And of course, Stephanie delivered with amazing results.   Isn't it a fabulous bellyband?  I couldn't have been more pleased with the final results of my entire invitation suite.   In sending the invitations to me, Stephanie even included a sweet note to me:

My daughter took one look at the note and wanted to know what did she mean by her dad and I starting a brand new life together.  I had to explain to my daughter that when a couple renew their wedding vows like her dad and I were doing, they pledge renew themselves and their love for each other, hence the brand new reference.  Somehow I was able to satisfy her with that answer.

Take a look at who's getting one of these lovely invitations:

Thank you Stephanie for being the patient, understanding and talented artistic lady that you are.  Thank you for keeping you cool and professionalism at all times.   You are on the right track.  Keep pursuing your dreams and I wish you all the best.

I bought 3 flower trees from a local DFW Knottie bride.  The trees are between 3-5 feet and have various large black vases holding.   Each tree has at least 10 LED candles hanging in it.

I plan on using one or two of those trees on my escort table.  Here is a picture of the trees:
