The color palette for our wedding is burgundy red, champagne gold with hints of orange.
The theme I am going for my wedding is "Chinese Modern" but it is ending up feeling a little more traditional rather then modern :P
Oh well, I am still happy with it haha.
Here is our DIY save the dates. They didn't turn out as nicely as I liked them and by the time we were done with them we changed our wedding colors so they didn't really match anymore but oh well...
I had my hair and makeup trial with the very talented Ms. Christina Yi :)
We went for a simple, clean natural look. I liked it a lot but I think i want to add a bit more va va voom to the eyes, like a bit of a smokier eye and perhaps a darker, thicker, liner.
I couldn't get a good angle on my hair but it came out lovely! I really liked it. FI especially liked it but I think I want to adjust it to the side of my head, like a low side bun because I want my hair flowers to peek out :P
2nd Hair Trial:
I had another hair trial with the very sweet Christina Yi and I am liking this hair style better. We shifted the bun over to the side a little and put a flower in there :) I want to move it further towards the front of my head by maybe an inch or two more on the big day.
My gown!!! :D
She is a Maggie Sottero Krisha/Krisha Marie in diamond white and pewter accents.
On the model :)
And here is the view of the bustle. It was only $35 to be put in :)
I am also having a traditional Chinese cheongsam made for our tea ceremony as well as to change into during the reception (as it is traditional for the bride to switch gowns during the reception) I will post picture of it as soon as I go in for my fitting :)
Here is my cheongsam :) I have to say I am quite happy with how it turned out. The detailing is very intricate and lovely. Its a little big on me because I had lost some weight since my original fitting. The seamstress at the shop explained that because I may lose some more weight between now and the wedding I should bring back the dress in the middle of March so that we can do the final adjustments. Makes sense.
Here is it is! sorry for the bad photo quality :P My FI is not a very good photographer.
