Coco is the most laid back person- no stress. Located in the South Bay, and her shop is filled with bridal dresses. I bought a sample dress from a Bev Hills shop that retailed for $4800. When I got a bridesmaid dress there years ago they charged me $200 for alterations- so I knew I was finding my own person this time. The dress I got had about 13 missing satin buttons that she had to match and make and sew on, and it had to be fitted in the chest and waist. Plus, I took my flower girl dress in to take it down a size. She charged me $55 for both. When I went back to get it fitted, I had lost weight in my boobs (!) so she charged me another $20 to do the very difficult task of opening up the seams, tucking in the middle and rearranging the silk organza flowers to cover it up. My bridesmaid paid $75 to take a sheer silk organza dress from a size 14 to a 12 and shorten it 4 inches. A total overhaul that had to be precise because you could see every seam since it was sheer material. Plus, she did it all in a few days. I am going to go there for everything now.

AMERICAN LIMO SERVICE
AWFUL!!! We got the minimum package because we only needed a ride to the church and then to the reception. We expected an 8:15 pick up for a 9am ceremony about 2 miles away. The plan was to put the dress on at the church. 15 minutes after the limo was supposed to arrive I was involved in a 5 minute 3-way call with the dispatcher who was talking to the driver on his cell. The driver was insisting that he was in front of my house and he had been there for a half hour. Finally, after going back and forth with the driver (who apparently didn't think to knock on a door or call?!) I asked her to tell him to go and physically look at a street sign! She came back on the line and told me that he was on a totally different street. Duh. When he arrived, I was in my dress on the curb waiting. With no apology, his defense (which he said about 6 times) was that "The GPS said that I was there". He was on a different street name and at a different address!!!! Then he said, "Before we can head out I'm going to need to get an imprint of the credit card." My fiance had arranged the service, so of course I didn't have the card. At this point, we were 15 minutes from the ceremony starting. My bridesmaid, my mother and I were all yelling at him- he was seriously the stupidest person ever! We told him we didn't have the credit card and he said that was an unbreakable rule. He finally CALLED the office to see if he could get approval for taking another credit card. Mind you, he didn't do any of this while on the road. We were still standing on the curb. He ran the authorization on my bridesmaid card, waited for approval, then drove off!! 2 of my buttons popped off the dress from me sliding into the limo- and I laid horizontally the whole way there so My silk dress woulndn't be completely wrinkled. When we arrived, I literally ran up the stairs of the church, into the side door, put on lipstick and walked down the aisle, totally frustrated and totally wrinkled. Then on our way to the reception he asked my (law enforcement) husband "Do you want to get there fast?" My husband said, "just take it easy and drive normal"?? We had no idea what he was talking about until he started taking side streets the ENTIRE way to the reception instead of taking PCH. What would have been a 20 minute ride took 35 minutes. We felt like we were totally trapped in the back of the limo from hell. Beware of this service!

We had Shayna do our makeup for our 4th of July wedding. She arrived at 6:15am (on a holiday!) bright eyed and bushy tailed. My flower girl was driving us all crazy but she stayed calm and collected (and steady-handed). A lot of the makeup services I looked into required a minimum amount of people- and even though I only had one bridesmaid, and a mother and me- it was no problem. We did a test run a few weeks out at her site, and she was very reassuring that I wouldn't look like a drag queen (my fear). The makeup looked natural and beautiful- I would totally recommend her for a fun, no drama day! (Note, the price included a $100 holiday fee so it wouldn't have been this much normally).

Don't bother worrying about all the details of your wedding, because the photobooth will be the only thing your guests remember and rave about! My only complaint was that lots of people didn't get in it! I compared a lot of companies before deciding and they gave the most "extras" for the least amount. The attendent was awesome, the scrapbooking stuff great, and the photo album very nicely put together and delivered a week after the event. We can't stop looking at the disk of the prints- which had the photobooth pix and each shot on an individual photo. They also designed a banner of the bottom using my "wedding logo" too so it was a seamless part of the theme. Great great job!
