We booked our honeymoon and we are pumped! After a lot of searching, we are going to Couples Swept Away in Negril, Jamaica for 10 days! I can't wait to be sitting on the beach with my hubby and a drink in our hands.
First thing to check off my list....
More bling to go with my ring! It took 4 weeks to custom make to match my engagement ring, but I love it!!!
So my fiance and I live a little over an hour away from each other so we mostly get to see each other only on the weekends....(yes it stinks, but it will be so worth it once we are married!) Anyways, I had to work Saturday January 9th and was traveling up there after I got off because we were going over to a co-worker's house for a get-together. Once I got up there, we got ready and headed out the door. (Remind you, I have no idea!) Well, we had dinner and played games with the other couples and then Jay said something about being tired and wanting to go home. It was fine with me so I told him whenever was okay with me. So he went a started the car to get it warm. (Looking back, I now see that he was being more assertive than he has ever been his entire life). When we got home, we put away the extra food and I was walking back to the bedroom and opened the door. There were a dozen roses and roses petals and candles lit everywhere. Still having no clue, I turned around and said, "What is all of this?" and he was kneeling on one knee and asked me to marry him. He was definitely nervous, but of course I said yes! I love him so much and I am so excited to start another chapter in our lives together:)
Hello! My name is Tara and my wonderful boyfriend is Jay! Sadly, we are not engaged yet, so needless to say, I am a lady in waiting! It's okay though because we are both working on our second bachelor degrees and we see no point to only be living on love, literally!
We are college sweethearts and started dating due to a mutual friend's matchmaking skills! My roommate's boyfriend played baseball with Jay and decided that he would be a matchmaker and cleverly set us up without either one of us knowing. So he would talked to Jay about me and vice versa. I don't know how he got us together, but it worked! We are polar opposites of one another, but somehow it works out perfectly! We have been together for 5 1/2 years and we will hopefully be planning a wedding for late May or early June of 2011!
