YAY! We finally decided on the bridesmaid dresses!! :)
I'm actually surprised my best friend agreed to strapless, but I am super thrilled she did. WHEW!!! It's Bill Levkoff, very simple but very elegant I think. I'm really happy with the decision!!
OK, so I'm no Ivanka...but this is just beautiful...timeless, classic, natural...I hope my makeup can look like this! :)
I went yesterday to get a mani/pedi...it had been a while (wish I was more of a girlie girl!)! :) Anyway, I wanted to see how the FI would like a French Manicure (he hates fingernail polish!)...and luckily he liked it! So yeah, this is how my fingernails will look on the big day!
(Sorry - camera pic so not a very good view!)
Soooo, here are my colors...I think. Well, I know we'll have green and chocolate brown, so these are pretty much the shades I am hoping for! :)
I would LOVE to try and get a blue in there, too, but we'll see.
actually not so bad! Since we're getting married in Chicago but live out here, we decided to do our Pre Cana in the Boston area. It's a ways off, but we wanted to get it done so all of our paperwork is done way ahead of time!
So, I found a place that wasn't going to break the bank but also got excellent reviews: Espousal Retreat House and Conference Center
What a great experience! I learned a lot not only about the Catholic faith (I'm Lutheran, FI is Catholic), but we learned a lot about each other and about ourselves. I was really glad we both took it seriously! :)
I think all couples, not just the ones getting married in a Catholic church, should attend one of these. Just my opinion of course, but I am so glad we had to go!
Sooo, bad news. The initial bridesmaid dress that I picked? Yeah, it's a no-go. :( This is harder than I thought...I want all the girls to feel comfortable, but not all of them are 36-24-36, ya know? They'll all look gorgeous whatever we end up with, but this is stressing me out more than the guest list.
Whew. Just needed to vent...
