The very first piece of jewelry I have ever made!! I really like it and can't wait to wear it on the BIG DAY!
My Daughter is modeling it... :)
I love my design becuase it took me so long to get it to where it is. I am far from a graphic designer, so I am so proud of myself! I would have loved to do a pocket folder, but I had to keep the cost down, and the postage is a killer!!
Sorry for the glare! :)
I created my save the dates and then had them printed as business cards at vista print. I bought business card magnets and stuck them on, and voila, it's a magnet! Then I created a backing card for it to ride in snugly in the mail. :) See pics below.
Magnet save the date.
I'll post my invites soon.
I thought and thought about a touching way that I could ask my bridesmaids to be in our wedding, mostly because three of the five of them I had slipped that they were in the wedding before I had "officially" asked them. I found this idea on weddingbee I think. I got the accordian bood kits from paper source and covered the front and back cover with decorative paper. This was my first DIY wedding project and I was so proud!
This is the front.
This is the inside.
I did one for each gal, using a paper that I thought they would like. Two of them live out of town, so I just mailed it and waited to get a phone call when they received it..:)
I am very excited about our wedding. I am always looking for ways that I can use DIY ideas to make the day unique. My goal is to have a fun and elegant event that has details that leave an impression.
We are getting married on October 23rd, which is two days after my daughter's sixth birthday. Our colors are tangerine, ivory and black, but it isn't a Halloween wedding. There won't be any pumpkins or anything like that. We are also getting married at a very old large home that is thought to be haunted. I'm so excited!
