Apr 25, 2010
The day started out as a rainy day so typical of Jersey in April, luckily everything was held indoors. I was the first one awake out of the 4 girls sleeping in my bridal suite. My sister was out like a light next to me and Lisa and Sara were precariously slumbering on the questionable pull out couch. After I had finished a couple minor but impotant tasks the girls started to wake up, my two little wedding planner wanna be Lisa and Sara going nuts with babysbreath (I did end up ordering too much and had loads left over). We stuck it everywhere and they made a few emergency boutineers just in case I had forgotten about anyone. The Hair and Makeup people arrived at 9am soon followed by our photgraphers and the other bridesmaids filtered down. It was a lovely morning filled with girly talk amazing broccoli rabe (thanks sara) which I proceeded to wolf down. We all got out hair done all the bridemaids mommy's and my grandma had their makeup done as well, I did it myself and was very happy.
About an hour before I was to walk down the aisle I started to get nervous, I was being dressed veiled and had sliced my thumb open putting the boutineer (babysbreath and so cute) on my nephew, yes I got married with a bandais on the tip of my ring hand thumb lol. I was hustled into the adjoining rooms to prepare to walk into the cocktail room hich was right next to our ceremony room when oh no the groom needs to come through and I got stuck in the kitchen. Finaly we were all lined up, my mother handed me a shot of tequila and we started. Everyone looked so handsome and beautiful my brother was escorting me and it was time to walk. I had my squinched up I'm going to start sobbing face on when I saw him. The moment I saw Craig waiting for me up there a smile came on that wouldn't go away from the rest of the evening.
All in all it was a beautiful fun and a little wild wedding. We walked into the reception as husband and wife to Johnny Cash's Folsom Prison me with my whiskey glass half full in hand. We ate danced up a storm ssmooshed cup cakes on eachother talked to everyone and had so much fun. A few moments that stik out (or that I can remember that glass of whiskey was filled more than a few times) was my mother hiking up her gown to get down, dancing with my 3 uncles Lisa "catching" the bouquet and accusing me of doing it on purpous when in reality I had nearly taken out the gorgeous chandelier and she had scooped it up off the floor after it had landed. We were up till 2:30 when my HUSBAND notified me we had to be on the airplane in 3 hours and really should take a nap before we go. and off me went to Maui..... pictures of the wedding to follow soon

I absolutely adore my family and friends and I am particularly close with my Fathers family and I am working to make sure that due to my father not being to be there in the physical that any place he would have been I have my uncles and his best friends stepping in, I know he would have wanted it that way.
This is our amazing catchall venue we'll be getting ready here having our ceremony all the way to the reception and our first night together as husband and wife!
but in gold backing this print will also be all over the place from the programs, excort cards, confetti cones and wishes cards (what we are doing instead of a guest book)
I am doing all babysbreath for the centerpieces and to decorate the chandelier that we'll be standing under for our ceremony

My dress came from Chic Parisienne in Coral Gables (Miami) Florida Keidy was my consultant and she was fantastick!!!
we met in highschool and after 12 years off and on, are def. on for good now. I am vocalist and he is in maritime industry. We are having a semi formal (festive) vintage inspired wedding at The Berkeley Hotel in Asbury Park New Jersey. I am wearing a Junko Yoshioka (why does no one have Junko pic's in their wedding dress gallery) and my girls are wearing J Crew in various styles.
We are getting married April 25th 2010 and it couldn't come fast enough! Eeverything from the ceremony to reception is at the beautiful Berkeley Hotel in Asbury Park, NJ. The staff coldn't be more helpful (I actually locked myself out on one of the balconies when I was taking pictures and when i called they were up to let me out in a Jiffy) The space is absolutely gorgeous and I can't help thanking my very very very good long time friend (and fellow Project wedding enthusiast) Lisa for making a trip down to the hotel for me the very next day to take pictures and help me fall in love with the space (planning a jersey wedding from florida is not so easy).
Falco's are doing the caterering and again couldn't be more helpful and understanding, when I told them I was vegan it was all I could do to hold them back from creating an all vegan wedding they were so excited for the challenge. But no we are having a mix of lots of really yummy vegan food and something for the meat lovers as well.
We are having a cupcake wedding tier from Sweet Avenue Cupcake shop in Rutherford NJ and as myself and my family "taste tested" we found it hard to save one for Craig they were so amazingly delicous! m=but I did manage to salvage one and he freaked out and was finally happy with my favorite idea a wedding cupcake tier and the bakery. Plus we can now accomadate a couple of special request (my grandma loved little cutie (super dark chocolate with chocolate bavarian cream in the middle and chocolate sundae: chocolate ckae with ganache vanilla frasting and a cherry on top) very excited!!
Everything is vintage inspired from my 1930's style gown to my handsome grooms tuxedo and I am debating having my adorable nephew, who is one of the ring bearers, wear a velvet suit made by my grandma (she made my dad and all of his brothers clothes growing up including velvet suits and I love velvet). so anyways thats our wedding so far I am diying my flowers but I have to wait a bit to order them so I up still trying to decide between hydrangeas, peonies, I have to have daffodils but I am not sure if thats all we'll have but they are my favorite flowers.
