I hate to write bad reviews, but I would hate for other brides & grooms to hire Andre Vospette and regret the decision as much as we did. The rest of our wedding vendors were a treat, but I was greatly disappointed with Andre. He's a very nice man, but once our wedding day rolled around it seemed like he had no idea what he was doing. I asked Andre before the wedding if I needed to put together a schedule and get directions for where and what order we would do take photographs before our ceremony. Never having been a bride before, I didn't know if that was my responsibility or his. I was fine either way: I could plan it out or he could. I just wanted to know which way it was going to be and I did not know what the protocol was. Andre assured me that once we met at the first photo spot (that we chose because it was where we would see each other for the first time) he would direct our driver to other great photo locations around the city. On our wedding day Andre seemed at a loss from the very start and the afternoon did not seem to have any direction. Luckily our videographer kind of took the reigns and even had to direct Andre a little bit. Andre seemed to be coming up with photo locations on the spot and we went to far fewer locations than originally promised. It was the only time the whole day that I was stressed because I could tell he did not have a plan and didn't seem to know what he was doing. Once we arrived at the venue Andre took our family photos and a bunch of wedding party photos. We had a beautiful downtown venue and after I asked that the photos be taken by the 'altar' we had set up or just outside the venue to use the city as a backdrop, as planned, he said the lighting was not right and took all of the photos in front of a plain tan and blue wall with electrical outlets visible behind us. Luckily my sister noticed the outlets and we were able to take a few better photos that do not show the outlets right before our ceremony started, but the majority of those important photos just look bad. Several family members and friends commented that night and later that our photographer seemed to have no idea what he was doing and later felt bad that our photographs weren't great. Luckily a family member that is an avid photographer took a bunch of photos and saved the day. The problem is that Andre chose awful photo locations and also missed several big photos even with a second photographer to back him up. For example, there is not a single full length shot of us walking up the aisle after our vows. I think that says a lot.

Martha at Ashland Addison was fabulous to work with. We only needed bridal party flowers because we did not do floral centerpieces and so I found it slightly more difficult to find a florist that would work with our small budget. Marth was totally open to our budget and both helpful and pleasant. She had great suggestions and our flowers arrived looking beautiful and on time.

A Joyful Occasion Bridal
I bought my dress and veil here and got a great deal I think. Freida made the experience personal and relaxed. I have since been back to help a girlfriend go wedding dress shopping and while she did not buy her dress from Freida, we still had great luck and a fun time.
