Thank You Speech

Its not tradition for the Bride to say the thank you speech, but I thought that it only right that I start married life as I mean to go on

- By having the last word-

With that being said and Mitch forewarned, I would like to take a minute to thank everyone for being here to share this day with us. I cant tell you how much it means to both of us knowing the distance many of you had to travel to be here. There are a few people that I would like to take a moment to thank.

To My Mom & Dad:

Thank you for accepting my loving husband into our family. I also have to thank you not only for all your help and support with the wedding, but also for the love, support, understanding and patience you have shown me my entire life. The lessons you have taught me and the lessons you have encouraged me to learn on my own have been invaluable and I can not thank you enough. I know that all you have ever wanted for us kids in life is to be happy, no matter what, and I just want to thank you as my dreams have come true and I have never been happier. I love you both!

To My Brother Jeremy:

Being the big brother is quite the task, especially when you have me for a sister. But let me tell ya, I've learned a lot from you. The skillful art of telling someone what to do has proven to be helpful as now I get paid to do it. All joking aside, I know we didn't always get along but as we have gotten older not only do I see you as my big brother but also as a friend who I love very much. Mitch and I want to thank you for the beautiful reading and being a part of the most special day of our lives.

To My Sister & Maid of Honour Vanessa:

Thank you for standing beside me today when I married the man of my dreams. Trying to find the words that best describe how much being your sister means to me was very difficult, then I found this quote. “Sisters don't need words. They have perfected a language of smirks and smiles, frowns and winks, expressions of shocked disbelief, sniffs, snorts, gasps and sighs that can undermine any tale you're telling” I love you and am wonderfully blessed to have you as my sister.

To My Bridesmaids Sarah & Mel:

Man you guys clean up good. Thank you for keeping me calm and relaxed today; well as calm and relaxed as I get anyways “A” for effort for sure. Thank you for standing with me today and I love you both!

To The Groomsmen, Charlie, James and Joel:

Mitch is so lucky to have friends like you guys. I want to thank you for the friendship you guys have shown me, you are really a great group of guys. I also have to thank you for making sure Mitch showed up, on time dressed and well for the most part sober! Thanks for being there for Mitch and taking part in such a special part of our lives.

Bonnie & Brad:

I first want to thank you for raising such a wonderful man, and welcoming me into your lives. Bonnie; I remember one trip to Winnipeg where you were telling me that you would accept anyone Mitch brought into your life, and that it was just a little perk that you liked me. Let me tell you its been a huge perk. Not only do I have a wonderful loving husband, but a second set of fantastic parents. I consider myself very lucky to have become part of your family and would like to thank you for everything.

And To My Loving Husband:

Well, the good news is we've gone through the sickness & health and the for richer or poorer part so we should be good to go now. Every day I fall more in love with you. You are my best friend, my knight in shining armour, and sometimes my tormentor, but its always in fun and games. I make the promise to support you, love you and be there for you no matter what life chooses to throw at us and I am proud to stand beside you today as your wife.

I ask now that everyone raise their glasses to toast my new husband, family and friends. Everyone in this room has in some way made this day possible, and unforgettable. We Love you All!
