Fiddlestix String Quartet

Fiddlestix sounded fantastic. The music was beautiful, and Margaret was great to work with. They were a little late starting up our recessional, but it was barely noticeable. They sounded wonderful and were very professional.

I had reviewed quite a few prior, but they were the best. My husband had made the approval immediately after meeting them.

Although I didn’t get to hear them play during cocktails, they brought tears to my eyes at the ceremony and when I heard them audition for us. Margaret and the guys were so sweet and professional, and everyone LOVED them. I heard from a lot of people about their talent and their friendly personalities. They learned to play a hymn for us as well, that was incorporated into our ceremony where everyone sang to it together. They also provided a music stand for my BMs to use during their ceremony performance (one of them sang and one played guitar). They even went to the trouble to learn a bunch of Cole Porter tunes because they knew I wanted an “upbeat, jazzy” feel to the cocktail hour. They always remembered who we were and what our wedding was going to be like, even with all of their other customers. A very reasonably priced and talented group who were wonderful to work with. I gave them all big hugs after the cocktail hour :)

These guys were great to work with. They even let me come in and record a song of theirs so that I could learn my first dance to it. They were on time, professional, and sounded great. Marg gave me terrific song advice and they recommended my trumpet player. They rehearsed before the wedding day with my trumpet player at no extra charge and I couldn’t have been happier. These are really a sweet bunch of people!

Fiddlestix was wonderful. Marge was such a sweet lady, and we are so glad we opted to have live music for our ceremony and cocktail hour. They were so great, the guest raved about them. It really gave our ceremony that finishing touch. Magnificent!

Fiddlestix lives up to their terrific reputation - MAGNIFICENT! That's what I kept hearing all night. They arrived on-time and were terrific!! I didn't get to greet them or thank them (busy taking pictures), but everyone enjoyed the music. I couldn't be happier.

Fiddlestix was great to work with. They were well-priced, organized, and great musicians. There was a small mistake when the ceremony concluded where there was some confusion about when they should play, which was quite a disappointment to me since I had so carefully chosen the recessional music. But, this wasn't necessarily their fault, and was probably due to miscommunication with the coordinator. If I could do it over, I would have given more explicit instructions on when they should be cued to play at the end. Overall, they were great, I just would have liked to hear them more!

Fiddlestix was an easy choice for us. We read no thing but great reviews about them. Margaret was wonderful with all of her communication. Although we had never met in person (we actually never formally met at all) they provided the service we expected. We had them play for both our ceremony and cocktail hour and all our guests raved about them.

Fiddlestix is excellent. We are booking them for our August 2008 wedding. We actually met them and heard them play. It was very moving and wonderful. Everyone in the group are amazing and very friendly and nice. I can't wait to hear them at my wedding!

The contact, Margaret, is so detail oriented and prompt in communication. Pre-planning coordination was easy and their execution at the wedding was perfect. The group was dressed in formal attire and played professionally on cue during the pre-ceremony through the cocktail hour. They are affordable compared to other quartets but their price doesn’t reflect their exceptional value. Margaret even sent a personal thank you card after the wedding.

Fiddle Stix came in highly recommended by several brides, and their prices are the best Iâve seen. Margaret is the contact person for the group. She made the planning of our ceremony and reception music selection so easy by simply getting a feel for the mood we wanted to set and just running with it by suggesting pieces she thought were appropriate. After we got back from our honeymoon, we were pleasantly surprised to see a thank you card from Margaret with a long note congratulating us for the wedding and how well she thought the musical selections came together. What a sweet and wonderful thing to do!

We booked Fiddlestix on the spot after hearing them play because they were super sweet and sounded great. Their rates were quite reasonable and Margaret was extremely easy to work with. Margaret was on the ball and offered lots of good suggestions for songs. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this group.

I'm not sure that I need to write a review since Fiddlestix already has so many! I was in a bind b/c someone who I thought was going to arrange for a string quartet for our ceremony waited until the last minute and was going to hire one based on their work in non-wedding related areas. I had already contacted Margaret a while ago but had not followed up so in a panic I e-mailed her and they were still available so I went with them. Their prices are also very reasonable. They played BEAUTIFULLY, I couldn't have hoped for a better ensemble.

Fiddlestix sounded great at my wedding and Marg (who is the group contact) has to be one of the nicest people ever. I was so pleased with how responsive she was during the entire process. I knew exactly what I wanted played (just a few pieces from my fave operas and ballets) at my wedding and Marg made recommendations on the order that I didn't even think of. I was so pleased with them, they just sounded so good during the ceremony and at cocktail hour. Don't hesitate, book them if they're available.

I also worked with Margaret and found her to be such a lovely person and so helpful. I never played a musical instrument in my life and had no idea what songs I should use for my processional/recessional, etc. Margaret not only suggested songs but played bits of it for me to hear. I spent a lovely afternoon listening and chatting with her at her home. She is very detail oriented and great to work with. I was very fortunate to have hired them.

They cancelled on me 2 months prior to the wedding... 3 of the musicians booked some other plans after I had put my deposite with them. I understand that they had better opportunities that came across which I probably took if I was in there shoes, but can't help to some what dissapointed.

Margart was so sweet! I went over to her house and not knowing much about classical music, she really helped me pick my ceremony songs. They were on time day of and continued through cocktail. Everything was what I wanted. Great service!

They were very easy to work with, always very prompt to answer questions, played wonderful music and were just overall one of our best vendors!

We chose Fiddlestix hands-down, because they were referred to us by a very good friend who had them play at her wedding in 2005. What an honor it was to have them as part of our event. They played for our ceremony and cocktail hour. Margaret worked mostly with my husband in the preliminaries, and I barely even had a chance to speak with the group, even during our wedding, but I saw our video and the quartet was absolutely beautiful. Margaret offered excellent suggestions (which I needed badly, because I had too many choices) and we couldn't have been happier. I would highly recommend Fiddlestix to anyone who appreciates classical music and wants to add the special touch of a string quartet to their ceremony.
