I have to thank Allen for my reception being a success! We wanted not only someone to play music but really Emcee the evening too, and we chose well! Allen is worth every penny. The dance floor was FLOODED with people! He went over every reception detail, the timeline, learned how to pronounce last names correctly. Superb at announcing grand entrance, toasts, first dance, anniversary dance, & cake cutting. My guests always knew when they should grab their camera. I can’t thank him enough for making my reception wonderful for everyone, young and old alike. I’ll be hiring him in the future for any large parties I'll have.

Allen was great!! We were so impressed with his work! He also made sure he got all the specific songs we requested! He did a wonderful job and nobody stopped dancing!

My mom I met with several DJs in the area and both felt very comfortable with Allen the first time we met him. He is very organized and approachable so I constantly felt that his expertise would guide the event while still allowing personal touches that represented my fiance and I. It is vital that you choose an emcee like Allen, he will highlight the most important events and make sure all of your guests are involved throughout the evening- not just play music. I felt like he really read the crowd well so that the dance floor was constantly full. I received compliments on Allen's performance from guests of all ages. Finally, Allen's experience helped our reception to flow perfectly as he managed to fix minor hotel and in-law flaws so that no one noticed and I was able to relax and dance the night away!

We are so happy we chose Allen as our D.J.! He was very helpful, organized, and friendly! He was easy to work with and very professional. The music he played went perfect for our wedding! :)

Allen was my DJ for my August 16 wedding and he did a fantastic job! I didn't need to hire a wedding coordinator because he scheduled the entire night for me. He is very professional and not cheesy. My mother-in-law is hard to please and she kept complimenting me for choosing Allen! I highly recommend him. Book him!

I am so glad I hired Allen for my wedding reception!! Many, many of my guests came up to me during and afterwards to comment on what a great DJ we had and how the music appealed to both young and old. When my husband and I opened the dance floor half-way through our first dance, I expected about 4-5 couples to join us. Instead, the dance floor was FLOODED with people! I have never seen anything like it before. The floor was too small...and this was a crowd that doesn't really dance! It was wonderful. Plus, his emcee skills were fantastic and he thought of every little detail...including handing a glass of champagne to our Best Man when he forgot it for the toast. There was Allen, waiting in the wings. He is worth every penny and I'd gladly spend it again. I can't recommend him highly enough.

Allen was the master of ceremonies. Our guests are still talking about our reception, 3 years later. He rocks!

At a very affordable price, Allen did a phenomenal job of running the show. Having him in charge put us at ease during the whole reception, because he did such a great job of making sure that everything ran smoothly and on schedule. His professionalism cannot be matched!

We couldn't have asked for a better DJ and MC than Alan. We met Alan and he was very personable and professional. He was so accommodating to our busy schedule and was always available to discuss our music selections. Alan was on cue during the entire ceremony and reception. He played great music and adjusted to the crowd. We were so pleased with his services, positive attitude, and respectful manner with our guests. Absolute perfection! Allen made our wedding wonderful! He was professional and personable from the very beginning, and helpful throughout the entire process. From our interactions before the wedding, in person and on the phone, I felt completely comfortable with him and had complete confidence in him. He was very interested in what we wanted, the music, the style, the flow of the reception, and always gave his professional advice without pressuing us to do it a certain way. He was very flexible - even on the day of the wedding. He handled changes in the program (different dance songs and adding special performances from my nieces) at the reception without any frustration and always with a smile. He has an awesome voice - and this actually adds a lot! He coordinated everything with the photographer and reception coordinator so everything went perfectly smoothly. I didn't have to think about anything at the reception - I just enjoyed myself completely, and I knew Allen had everything under contorl. He was absolutely perfect!!

Allen was great! He was there every step of the way and I didn't have to worry about anything. It was so nice to know that I could actually enjoy my reception. Allen is very professional and comes in an elegant tux. He takes the time to listen to your ideas, put together a program and plays all your favorite songs. I love the way he was very meticulous about the pronunciation of family names. He was great and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone!

Allen was fantastic. He truly made our wedding spectacular. We liked him from the start. He was always available to us for any questions or concerns. Guests at the wedding have since commented to us that he was really great and that the music was perfect. He played all the music we wanted and made the reception go so smoothly. It has been three months after my wedding and I still have people come up to me to tell me it was by far the best wedding they have ever been to. I can't take credit for everything because what Allen did during the reception made our wedding day one to remember. He saved it! He not only did a superb job with the music but managed the time accordingly during the reception. It was flawless! The dance floor was full of people, old and young, throughout the reception; his announcements were exciting; his coordination was superb; and his execution worth every penny. allen was the best choice in vendors i made for my entire wedding. he was professional from the beginning and made the reception portion the least part of my stress in planning. from the first meeting his approach and attitude put me at immediate ease and his follow through with all of his promises did not fall short. i received many compliments at his professional style and i think he stressed more than i did in making sure my reception was memorable and included all the events i requested. his dedication to being the best DJ is evident in his execution from start to finish. i HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend.

Allen was a very professional and accomodating DJ. We were struck by his professionalism and dedication to making our wedding exactly what we wanted it to be. He spent the time to ensure that we had all the music we wanted played (including latin music that was difficult to find!). We would definitely use him again and recommend him to our friends!

We found Allen based on the good reviews on this website. The only thing I can tell you about Allen is he is awesome. He is actually the first DJ I interviewed and I told my husband I wanted to book hime immediately. From the first time we met, he has been always professional and helpful. He is always there when we need him. He even called us two days before the wedding just to make sure he pronounced the names of every bridal party and both parents correctly. (We are Asians and it's not easy for non-Asians to pronounce accurately.) On the wedding date, we got a lot of compliments about the music. I would definetly recommend Alley to anybody. Hands down....He is the best.

We were absolutely 100% satisfied with the excellent work that Allen did for us prior to and the day of the wedding/reception. His hard work and diligence in planning was superb and very comforting to both of us, especially my wife! He did a great job at one of the tougher venues for a DJ to work. The dance floor was filled, young and old, and everyone had a blast. One extra kudos I would like to note, Allen was our savior when the speaker system at our venue went down. Within five minutes he had his spare speakers set up and I don't think many of our guest even noticed the pause in the action. Allen, you are truly a professional, an excellent DJ, whose preparation and understanding of what it takes to have a great wedding and reception are sorely needed by all and gratefully acknowledged by those who have hired you. Allen is a first rate DJ. He is a complete professional that understands how to make an event top notch. He is thoughtful, thorough, flexible and very knowledgeable. He ran our reception very smoothly just this past February, I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone. He will listen to what you want and then make it happen! Allen is a true pro.

Allen was absolutely WONDERFUL. He served as the DJ & MC for our wedding ceremony and reception in September of 2007 and I can't stress how valuable his services were. He was so very helpful and attentive to our needs and his level of professionalism was incredibly high.

We really truly attribute the success of our wedding to him. His skills are phenomenal and his experience is worth every penny. I felt his pricing was VERY reasonable but if you're on a budget and can't quite afford him, I'd advise you to cut costs anywhere else and hire him! For my wedding, I couldn't afford a wedding coordinator and I found that I didn't really need one because Allen really helped me to be on schedule with all of my activities. That was an incredible bonus for me. He really made the day go smoothly.

It's so important to have someone as professional as him at your wedding. Since music really sets the mood for your wedding, guests notice if the DJ is cheesy...and Allen is not. He is very classy.

I would sincerely recommend Allen for a Wedding DJ. He was very professional, and on top of everything. He coordinated the announcing of the grand entrance, toasts, first dance, honeymoon dance, the cake cutting and everything else! Allen was the DJ at our wedding back in November. I couldn't have been happier with the job that he did. Everything was on time (he kept our huge wedding party in line!), the dance floor was packed with all age groups, and his attention to detail was impeccable! He was so prepared and he made sure the day turned out exactly how we wanted it. I was really nervous about picking the music and trying to keep everyone happy, but he made it so easy. He did a lot research on the music we requested. If he didn't have a song that we wanted, he found it for us. He was referred to us by our photographer who had worked with him numerous times and he definately lived up to his reputation. I highly recommend him!

Allen Layton is the best DJ! When I had my 50th birthday party in 2003, Allen was recommended to me -- he was fabulous! He was very professional & also very fun to work with. His suggestions were most welcome. So, when I was planning my wedding in 2006, the venue I had chosen gave me a recommended vendor list & first on the list was Allen for DJ service. I had intended on having Allen coordinate the music at my wedding & when I saw him on the recommendation list, it confirmed for me that others agreed with me. And that very night when I got home I called Allen & he remembered me & my Hawaiian motif party & was more than happy to help me out once again. He is a dream to work with -- accepts suggestions willingly -- he wants to make your event a special memory & in my case he succeeded not once, but twice.
