We purchased caramel apples in bulk from this company. These were a BIG hit and so affordable. I had been on a quest to find the best prices on caramel apples. Thanks to kchoi, I was able to buy caramel apples without spending a fortune. They tasted soooooo good. It was so easy to order with Cal Snacks. We just called in and put in the order, picked them up, and wrapped them later that night.
We bought caramel apples, caramel popcorn, & cotton candy for our wedding favors and out of town gift bags. They were all delicious and very affordable. Our guests loved and are now making requests for me to buy and mail them some!

California Snack Foods is a South El Monte, California based food company that is owned by Steve and Mary Nelson. In 1960, Steve's parents, Murl & Eleanor, originated the business that was then called " Daffy Apple Company", a caramel apple business. Murl was a strong supporter of local schools and community organizations. Like the company today, he helped achieve their fund raising goals selling Daffy Apples. Steve and Mary joined Murl in 1968. Steve created and developed the company's popcorn line with a vast variety of popcorn including Caramel, White Cheddar Cheese, Buttery and Jalapeno Cheese to name a few.
With the success of the popcorn trade it was only natural that the company expand its product line. Steve developed Icetickles, a frozen ice treat that young and old alike may enjoy without the messy spills and drips of traditional on-the-stick frozen pops. You simply squeeze the plastic envelope and enjoy the tastes of traditional Cherry, Bubblegum and Watermelon.
Then In 1992, California Treats was created to add the gourmet touch which included Betty Clarks Popcorn made with big crunchy clusters of popcorn with almonds, Pecans, or Macadamias, all covered with delicious honey and butter glaze.
Adding to the California Treats line are Betty Clarks Holiday Dessert Cakes such as Macadamia and Pineapple, Apricot and Walnut, Rum and Butter. These cakes have been a tradition since 1959. California Treats also offers "Harmons Gourmet " Chili, Soup and Pasta mixes with a magical difference in quality and originality such as chicken verde, French Market and Country Chicken. Last but not least, California Treats also carries 'Harmons Gourmet' Mustards and Pepper Jelly to satisfy the discerning customer.
