2000 Dreams

I had my BM's order their dresses through 2000 dreams on the recommendation of another bride (not listed on this website). The dresses came in fine, however, the attitude of Nancy has caused me to regret sending my BM's to 2000 Dreams.

Every time I came into the shop people were trying sell me something more...BM shoes, tuxes, etc. One of my BM's inquired about dyeable shoes and was given two different prices, both of them more expensive than other places we've seen. Ultimately, six 6 BM dresses were purchased from 2000 Dreams, each at over $100. Now the time has come for alterations and she has just charged one of my BM's $58 to add two darts along the bustline and to shorten the spaghetti straps about 1/4 of an inch. Full payment was expected up front, not 1/2 now and 1/2 upon completion. She is charging about 50% of what the original dress cost, which I think is too much. Another one of my BM's had a similar experience having minor alterations cost $26.

I am really not worried about the dresses coming back screwed up as 2000 Dreams has been around a long time. However, I feel that since she didn't get the business from the shoes, tuxes, etc that she is now trying to get what she can for the alterations. I would not want to have my BM's go through this experience again even if the dresses are altered well. I purchased my dress from Mandy at Lucy's Bridal in Temple City (on Las Tunas) has she has been wonderful, helpful and reasonable. My wedding dress alterations were not going to be over $30, and was put in writing on the contract. I wish I had sent my gals there instead.

Nancy is the most amazing wedding gown expert. they also have bridesmaid dresses, accessories such as veil, tiaras shoes etc.

I was about ready to give up on my search of the perfect wedding dress. I had already looked at all the big wedding gown stores in the san francisco bay area. I was not very hopeful when I walked into 2000 Dreams on Las Tunas ( they also have a San Diego store owned by her brother I think) but I was greeted by Nancy immediately and I described to her what I wanted and in less than 2 minutes she brought out 2 beautiful gowns that I was imagining.

I got an AWESOME price as well and she threw in a free veil and tiara. It's also free bustling. Her helpers are not very knowledgeable so beware! Insist on talking to Nancy.

I ordered my dress in November and I went last Friday to try it on for the first time and it fit PERFECTLY. No alterations needed at all! She only had to make the bustle.

I have heard about Nancy trying to sell more and more to customers but strangely that did not happen to me at all and I had great service with her even thought I bought nothing but the wedding dress from her.

I had been to 2000 Dreams last year to purchase a BM dress for my cousin's wedding that I was going to be in...the ordering process was fine, but when the dress came, and it was time for alterations she wanted to charge me differently then what she had originally quoted. That didn't sit well with me so I took the dress elsewhere.

I reluctantly, with the push of my mother, went there 2 weeks ago to look at bridal gowns and to see if she had the style of BM dresses I wanted for my girls. Well Nancy helped me find THE dress and my BMs dresses (we went through about 6 before finding one that was going to work for all of the girls body types.) Not to mention she gave me a really good deal on my dress and the girls dresses. So far I am pleased and glad I listened to my mom. She can be a little pushy, but I can understand her competiveness since there are about 20 other bridal salons on the same street as she is located.

I rented my dress from 2000 Dreams. The dress already fitted me perfect when I tried it on, so no issue there. Nancy was helpful, but she ordered all of the bridemaid dresses way too big. My BMs dresses came out nice, but alteration cost a bunch for a couple of them. One of my BM went to the San Diego shop and had a very bad experience there. The other BM's dress was way too big, that she took it to another tailor to get it altered. I went back to Nancy to get a second dress altered for my second reception in Taiwan. I needed a quick turn around and was willing to pay the price. They did a great job on my second dress and I got it a few days before my trip. In summary, bride ok, bridesmaids not ok.

I bought my dress, BMs dresses and MOB at 2000 dreams. Their price are very reasonable compared to the other stores in the area. I’m fortunate that I didn’t experience any of their sale tactic…like mentioned by other brides. It was always a pleasant visit. Also, the alterations fee are included with the package. It was cap on a certain price (so it might be less but not more than the cap price) so IMO it was very reasonable.

I had the most wonderful experience with Nancy and her assistants at 2000 Dreams Bridal in Temple City. I had looked for a dress in other franchise stores and pretentious boutiques and wasted hours of time with SALES people I didn't trust. I loved walking into her store because she had a smile and personality that helped me feel at ease during my most stressful moments. I had to buy all the dresses within 2 months. She and her assistants were refreshingly honest and I felt very comfortable with everyone there. They helped me find THE perfect dress all in about 30 minutes. It was AWESOME! Twenty years of experience has really made her an expert. Not only did she help me pick out my dress (with included veil), but I also found my maid of honor and junior bridesmaids' dresses there ... all at great prices (including the alterations)! I never got a hard sell from anyone in the store, which I loved. Nancy was right, everyone at my wedding LOVED my dress. I couldn't have done better anywhere else. Go to 2000 Dreams Bridal!
