A Baja Romance Wedding in Los Cabos by Karla Casillas

Thanks to Karla and her team my husband and I experience a wedding weekend far more beautiful than we could have imagined or planned ourselves. Karla took care of every detail in an effort to make the entire experience enjoyable and stress free. Karla hired high quality vendors from photography, to shuttle drivers, to our entertainment line up. We had 4 different music vendors (strings for the ceremony, mariachi for the cocktail hour, sax player for dinner, and DJ for dancing after dinner). Each musician transitioned seamlessly because Karla and her team took care of every detail. One of the most memorable moments of the day was the Mariachi band that surprised the guests immediately after the ceremony and led them to the cocktail hour. It was a fun way to kick off the party and our guests are still talking about how much they loved it! Of course it was all Karla's idea! I would highly recommend working with Karla and her team for the following reasons:1. I threw out quite a few ideas/pictures and Karla pulled them all together and made them work. This would have been difficult/stressful for me to coordinate from afar.She truly listened to what was important to me and incorporated every detail into the day.2. Karla hired the highest quality of vendors. Two of our favorites were Rodger the florist and Alec & T our photographer's (they were so fun to work with and took the most beautiful pictures). The sax player was also really enjoyable and much better than any of the others I heard in Cabo during our trip.3. Karla and her team are very organized and pay attention to detail. On the day/day before our wedding my husband and I didn't contribute AT ALL to coordinating any details. Everything went according to Karla's timeline that she shared with me weeks in advance. On the day of our wedding my husband and I spent the day enjoying ourselves with our family and friends as the team was hard at work pulling the wedding together. In the end, it was so much more beautiful than I could have imagined.4. I get the impression that Karla can coordinate a range of simple weddings on a tighter budget to the most extravagant events. We fell somewhere in the middle and I think I said it 10 times already, it was more beautiful/fun than I could have imagined.We had such a wonderful experience with Karla and highly recommend her and the team to coordinate any event. Also, Veronica, Karla's assistant, kept every detail in check and was a pleasure to work with.I cannot express how much fun we had on our wedding. Karla enabled us to focus on what was important and she took care of EVERYTHING else :)

Words can not describe how beautiful our day was. Karla was amazing! From the moment we got there and especially when I walked down to the beach. The location was just breath taking. We got our pictures two days later, just awesome! When we got home, my husband and I watched the dvd and we both cried. The photographer was excellent. He captured every important detail down to the smallest. We have three children and our youngest is 2 1/2, he had a few pictures of him playing in the sand. The expression on my baby's face was just priceless. I would do it all over again in a heart beat. Karla at A Baja Romance is the BEST!!!!

When we decided to have our wedding in Cabo, our biggest problem was that we had never been there before, and we would need a wedding planner to help us with everything. Karla Casillas and her assistant Shearim were AMAZING. Communication skills is their key. They found out exactly what we wanted, they listened to us, and they delivered in a big way. Our wedding was a great event and Karla and Shearim deserve a lot of credit for such a successful day. Most importantly, we are not rich and famous types, we had to stay within a budget....but that didn't matter because we were treated as VIPs. Karla and Shearim went above and beyond our expectations. Karla was absolutely amazing! Our wedding was perfect and we couldn't have done it without her! She was with us through every step for an entire year and nothing was missed. She listened to what we wanted for our big day and didn't miss a detail. Karla was extremely organized and kept task lists for my husband and I so we knew what we had to get done. She came to a couple of our vendor appointments to help us communicate with them and make sure we got everything we wanted. She had great local vendors that she partnered with and we had one of a kind treatment from all of the vendors she recommended. They were personal and professional, it was like having a best friend that wanted nothing from you and wanted to give as much as they could!! I always had to remind myself that our wedding wasn’t the only one she was coordinating – she just did a great job making us feel like our event was the most important! I wanted to tell you thank you for all of your help thus far on planning our wedding. You have really helped us in every way from location, decor, photography. We would still be at square one if it weren't for you, and you have done a wonderful job answering all of my questions, responding promptly to my calls and emails, and telling me what to expect with each step of this process. You have also given us some beautiful ideas that have helped to create a unique wedding that is truly our own.

We received very dedicated attention once we arrived in Mexico the week before our wedding. The rehearsal dinner was scheduled for a beach venue, but it rained all day. Karla set everything up to have the dinner changed to an indoor restaurant, which was much nicer than our original location, for the same price.

Melinda and Jerry Toombs….we were staying at the Sheraton and had the hotel call you the night of December 29th….you very graciously got out of pj’s to come marry us on the beach by the restaurant….we call you our angel!!!!!!! All of the vendors were wonderful. I loved Mijares (I probably spelled that wrong, but I mean the DJ/Guitarist). He was EXCELLENT.
