Nance gave us the most beautiful celebrations on our 60th and 65th Anniversaries.
We wrote our Renewal Vows and our Children and Grandchildren, and a old friend, witnessed our vows.
We chose a beautiful beach on the Gulf of Mexico.

Nance arranged our flowers and she made a lovely tiny bouquet,
wrapped with satin ribbons and pearls (a "Posey") for me to carry.

There is nothing lovelier than to celebrate your anniversaries with renewals of your vows.
Nance was the perfect officiante and made these days special for us.

She handled everything for us.
I want to say that the "old friend" whom I mentioned was a witness of our wedding in 1946.

Nance Leikhim of A Beautiful Tahoe Wedding was a wonderful officiant. We couldn't have asked for a better person to perform our ceremony. She made our special day that much more perfect and memorable. She was so kind and professional from the first day we met with her to begin discussing the details of our ceremony. By the time she married us we felt like she was a part of our family.

I could not imagine my wedding without Nance. I was planning my wedding from another state and had to change meeting times with her more than once. She was always so understanding and patient, she gave me several different options as far as vows and all I needed to do was edit or add my own personal touch. (I was too stressed out to come up with my own) I would recommend her to anyone and everyone who is looking for a reasonable, professional, and peaceful person to officiate. I absolutely loved her.

Rev. Nance made our wedding very special. She is a very warm and genuine person and even though my fiance and I only met her a short time before our actual wedding it felt like we had been good friends for years. She really took the time to get to know us and what it was we wanted for our wedding ceremony. I was impressed by how perceptive and sensitive she was to making sure she found out what our likes, dislikes, preferences and expectations were - even with things I hadn't thought of like the tone of the ceremony, wording of the vows, and even what she would wear. We had a simple, elegent, and meaningful ceremony in an informal non-church venue and she did a great job giving the ceremony the right balance of traditional and non-traditional elements that we wanted. I highly recommend Rev. Nance.

My husband and I got married in 2008. We found A Beautiful Tahoe Wedding on line. Nance is absolutely wonderful. She did a beautiful job with our wedding vows and was very accommodating. Our entire family really enjoyed her.

   My Beautiful Tahoe Wedding Chapel in Truckee on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe, CA is available for small weddings year round. I also travel to Lake Tahoe. Choose from

Castle Peak-Canyon View Wedding    (Magnificent at Sundown)
Garden Wedding     (Best time is Mid-June to Sept.)
Creekside Wedding in the Canyon    (Cool on a hot day for just the couple)
Aspen Grove Wedding    (Great for fall)
Fireside Indoor Wedding   (for 2 people only)
Truckee River Wedding   (A short walk)

Locations are private and quiet for weddings for 2 people or up to 15 guests. Sorry, no receptions at these locations.

I also travel to your choice of location such as private homes, restaurants, churches, and ski resorts.  If you are already working with a chapel or wedding planner, please request me for your service.

I am a non-denominational minister since 2003 and a full time resident of this wedding and honeymoon destination area since 1979. I honor all beliefs and customize weddings to suit each couple. I also love to do your Vow Renewals. What a perfect way to celebrate any anniversary.

What officiant services do you provide?

Can you accommodate the hearing impaired?

Are you willing to perform a ceremony at a non-religious site?

I have a Chapel but also perform beautiful services on top of mountains, along the Truckee and the Yuba Rivers, Lake Tahoe and Donner Lake as well as private homes.

What is your attire for the ceremony?

My dressy blacks unless you request something else.

Are you flexible in the wording used throughout the ceremony, including the vows?

I write vows specific to your wishes. You may write your own vows.

Do you allow the couple to write their own vows, if desired?

Absolutely.

Do you have a list of readings pre-selected, from which the couple must choose?

Yes, and I usually email them to the couple.

How long are your ceremonies?

Probably an average of 20 minutes. Remember the actual wedding with procession takes much longer. I will be at your wedding 30-40 minutes early to see both of you alone, meet your family, get wired with a mic, and check the sound. It is the brides reponsibility to her guests to be dressed to start the procession at the time indicated on the invitation. All of the wedding service can take a half hour to an hour depending on your planning and desires.

Do you require that premarital counseling be done?

No, I don't. I gift a bound copy of their total wedding. This is good to read on Anniversaries.

Are you willing to perform pre-ceremony rehearsals?

Yes, but I do charge extra for rehearsals. Even if your wedding is large you can save money if you organize the rehearsal yourself. I do not do rehearsals on Friday.

Do you supply a sound system?

No, but I speak loudly for groups of 30 or less and most weddings larger than this have a mic supplied either by the DJ, musicians, or venue.

When do you arrive? 30 minutes early.

Do I have to get the license in the county I will be married in?

No, and it is usually easiest to get the license in your area, so call them for an appointment when you both can visit. You can also call the Carnelian Bay County Clerks Office in the North Lake Tahoe area.

Do we sign at the wedding?

No, your signatures are on the license when you purchase it from the county clerks office. Only the witnesses and officiant sign at the wedding.

How do we get our copy of the license?

The officiant will mail in your license in the envelope supplied by the county to be filed. This makes it official with the state. The county clerk supplies you with a form "Request for Copy" which you sign at anytime before or after the wedding, including the address you wish the copy of the filed License to be mailed to. It usually directs you to send it with a return envelope and postage, and a check made out to such and such County Clerk for a small fee around or $14. Each county is different.

The Public License may be purchased in any county in California and the marriage may occur in any county in California.

There is no blood test required in California and no waiting period. You must be 18 or older and present a Photo ID (drivers license, state ID, military ID, passport, or other official identification. The license is good for 90 days from the purchase. For second marriages, no divorce papers needed if it has been final for over 90 days. Know the date of your divorce.
