Nancy Dodd is an extremely talented wedding gown alteration person. She is very attentive to what you would like the outcome to be as well as very astute at knowing what the gown needs with regard to fitting you perfectly. Her hours are very flexible and she is very accommodating. She is also available on the day of the wedding to steam the dress and veil as well as the bridesmaids dresses. This is invaluable at such a hectic time. The end result is perfection! I highly recommend Nancy and A Bridal Blossom Boutique for your wedding needs!

This place was so very quaint! I loved it! The selection of off the rack dresses was astounding - such a great variety to choose from (and most of them very reasonably priced). It was truly difficult to pick just one dress out of the numerous beautiful dresses. If the vast selection of beautiful dresses were not reason enough to visit this place, let me tell you about the owner, Nancy. She is absolutely one of the sweetest souls you will ever find! She is very down to earth and easy to work with. And she knows her stuff! As soon as I walked through the door, she introduced herself and after asking a few questions to get a feel for what I was looking for, she invited me and my small entourage to start looking and pulling dresses to try on while she jumped in and started pulling dresses as well. I probably tried on no less than 10 dresses - all of which were stunning and beautiful in their own unique way. We had booked an appointment, so we pretty much had the place to ourselves and had the incredible one-on-one service of Nancy and her expertise at our disposal. We were able to take our time and have fun and were not rushed in the least. When I finally did pick a dress, it was just a matter of seconds before Nancy produced the perfect veil to go with it. And within the next 10 minutes I also had an absolutely beautiful pair of earrings and a sparkly headpiece to complete the look. You see, in addition to the great variety of dresses available at this boutique, it also offers a generous array of hair clips, headpieces and jewelry to choose from to accesorize your look - one stop shopping! My dress needed some alterations, of course, but not to worry! Nancy did an excellent job making the required alterations - and she did it in just under two weeks! So not only does she do great work, but if need be she can also produce quality work under the pressure of time constraints. Overall I was completely impressed from start to finish with my experience at A Bridal Blossom/Gowns of Grace and have no complaints whatsoever. I would highly recommend this place again and again to anyone out there shopping for their wedding gown - whether you've got all the time in the world or if you're functioning under time constraints, this is the place to go. You won't be disappointed!

We are getting married in Maui. Our 11 year old daughter and her friend tried on almost every bridesmaid dress Nancy had. They picked out their own style, color and fabric. They were reasonably priced and Nancy did a great job on the alterations! She was wonderful

Nancy Dodd is amazing! They have such a quaint shop that boasts some of the most beautiful wedding dresses you'be ever seen. She has a way of picking a gorgeous gown based on body type etc. She is such a sweet woman to deal with and I can't wait for her to dress me for my wedding. I got so many compliments on my MOH gown. She altered it several times which was perfect so I didn't feel the need to "crash diet." We are so thankful we found her and would highly recommend her to anyone that is looking :)

I normally do not give a perfect score when writing reviews, but Nancy at A Bridal Blossom was incredible. I've been a bridesmaid in 11 weddings and have had my fair share of dress fittings. Nancy makes the fitting feel like an experience and you can tell she loves what she does. It just felt like a day with the girls trying on clothes.

The ladies at Bridal Blossom were very helpful, willing to work with my need to see every option in the store at least twice, and very comforting to my overwhelmed self. They did a beautiful job altering my dress so that the train buttoned up for the reception, and they were flexible when I needed to pick it up a different day than I originally intended. They have a WONDERFUL selection of veils, hair flowers / ornaments, and jewelry (both sets and individual earrings and necklaces). I had already bought my dress, but their selection of dresses seemed to include a lot of variety and unique elements. I found their prices to be reasonable (based on the price of other wedding stores - nothing labeled "wedding" ever seemed reasonable to me!) I highly recommend them to you!

Nancy was like a fairy godmother throughout this process. She knew exactly what I was feeling and what I wasn’t feeling. She can read a situation so well and know exactly what to say. She focused on how I felt and gave me her honest opinions whenever possible. I don’t think my wedding wouldn’t have been the same without her. I LOVED her! She's a true miracle worker :)

Nancy is so creative and her alterations work is really very impressive. She helped me to alter one of the existing dresses on the rack, which was more affordable and much quicker than ordering a dress elsewhere which may take months. She altered my dress from a size 12 to a size 2, added and removed different features such as beading, sash, and pickups, and ultimately created a whole new dress that I loved. My maid of honor's dress was also purchased and altered at her store and we were also very satisfied with that dress. I have never encountered the same level of professionalism and service at any other store.

My experience at A Bridal Blossom couldn't have been better. I am from Norman, OK and happened to see an ad for the store (and a sale they were having) on Facebook. My then-fiance and I were driving down to Houston the upcoming weekend, so decided to call the store and see if we could schedule an appointment. My parents live in Ohio and I wanted to have my mother there to help me make a decision regarding my wedding dress, and it turned out that it was going to be rough scheduling her flight to fit with the store's hours. Nancy kept the store open late just to accommodate me and my family's hectic schedule. She was so sweet and caring; my mother-in-law, mom, and I all found her wonderful to work with and were very, very happy we had such a pleasant experience at her store. We only went to one other shop and were treated with such indifference, we decided that Nancy was one really special lady and decided to stop shopping and get the dress I really wanted from a woman we all really loved.
Nancy was always flexible with my schedule, which was essential given that I live about 3 hours away from her store, and tend to run late. I was trapped in a terrible rainstorm when headed down for my final fitting and ended up arriving hours late, and she was very kind to me on the phone and encouraged me to drive safely and assured me that everything was going to be all right (something that is really important to a bride-to-be).
Nancy was a dream to work with, even when I decided to change dresses only six weeks before my wedding. I felt terribly guilty about it, but she was very understanding about the situation (I had felt a little pressure and wanted some time to think about the decision on my own, and when I did, I changed my mind). Nancy and I became friends pretty quickly; I often would spend more time talking with her than I would being fitted. She works very quickly and does absolutely beautiful work. I didn't have very extensive alterations, but she did adjust my strap length, correct my hem, and trim out some of the tulle on the inside of my dress when I decided it's A-line was a little too wide for me. She also provided me with a lot of advice regarding my shoes, my dress, my veil, and my garter. She was an excellent resource for me and made me feel very comfortable with the entire wedding dress process.
Personally, I cannot recommend Nancy enough. She is incredibly kind, takes every customer's wants and needs personally, and is, the best in terms of personalized service in the Dallas area. I was more than willing to drive the 180+ miles to go to my fittings because of her impeccable service and likable manner. I assure you that she will make your dream dress happen, whether you find it perfectly off the rack or if you want something specifically made for you. Nancy also has a wide variety of styles, sizes, and colors, and I have no doubt that she would bend over backwards to find something for one of her brides. She provided me with my dress, veil, and two garters (one for tossing and another for keeping), and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Nancy was absolutely amazing! Not only did she work with me on my fittings to make sure it fit me like a glove, but she was a joy to work with! After my bridal portraits were done, I noticed my dress had gotten a bit dirty and was worried about taking it to get it cleaned after hearing horror stories about dresses being ruined. Nancy was able to get it completely spotless! And day of, she arrived on site to steam my dress and all of the girls' dresses (also creating one less thing for us to worry about)!

Absolutely the BEST place for alterations and veils in the Dallas metroplex. They were the only ones who had a selection of unique veils that were reasonably priced. And, my dress alterations were VERY reasonable, about 1/2 the amount other tailors were quoting. She did a fabulous job with my dress, considering the many alterations that needed to be done and the ruffles she had to deal with - the dress fit perfectly and was altered beautifully (hemmed, turned into a sweetheart neckline, lowered the back, took off the one-shoulder strap, and took in the hip/bust). Would go to her for ANY dress alterations.

I had the beautiful Cathedral veil that she dyed for me to match the exact tone of my off white wedding dress i had. Custom made my hair piece and pearl necklaces I wore for the reception along with my guarder. Nancy went above and beyond to take care of all my wedding attire needs. She is absolutely reliable and dependable you won't be disappointed. You will feel exactly how a bride should on her wedding day beautiful.

Nancy Dodd did an amazing job altering my bridal gown. I had a Carolina Herrera dress that was a sample, so she had to alter it from a size 8, to a size 0-2. This involed hand stitching all of the detailed pleating on the bodice and basically re-building the dress. It turned out absolutely spectacular. She is very affordable as well, considering the amount of work she did. She is a wonderful lady and very pleasant to work with. I highly recommend working with Nancy!

Nancy was available for me when I needed her. I live in Chicago and had very small windows to have my dress fittings. She worked with me and even worked tirelessly at Christmas to get my alterations done over a weekend for my bridal portrait. She also hand sewed some beadwork on the back of my dress that was missing and provided a new dress bag when mine ripped. She promptly arrived at the Chapel the day of the wedding and for a nominal fee pressed all of the dresses for my bridal party including moms and the flower girl. She made my dress look beautiful and helped my day be stress free. Just before the ceremony when everyone started to leave me and I got teary, she stayed with me until I composed myself before she left. What a fabulous gift. You will not be disappointed using A Bridal Blossom.

I had been planning the details of my two years before the actually proposal. I found A Bridal Blossom in Wedding Wishes Magazine which helped me narrowed my selection process for my veil and jewelry. Nancy assisted me in finding the perfect accessories. Thanks to A Bridal Blossom, the bridal accessories added the elegant touch I was looking for.

Nancy did such an amazing job tramsforming my wedding dress from plain and simple to elegant and breath taking. I later saw a dress on a magazine that looked exactly like my dress but cost almost 3x as much. She also did emergency altering when I became pregnant and had to fit into a pre ordered bridesmaid dress. I will continue to use Nancy for all special occassions to come!!!

I met Nancy when she was working at another bridal shop as a seamstress. My friend and I were shopping for her wedding dress and Nancy did such a good job on altering her dress and my maid of honor dress, that I had to find her 3 years later when it came time for me to get married. I found that Nancy opened up her new shop called A Bridal Blossom. It is a quaint little home house converted into a shop. I love her selection of dresses and how agreeable and flexible Nancy is. I changed my mind about 10 times and she remained patient and helpful throughout the whole experience. We chose to convert a friend's wedding dress to look freshly vintage. Nancy did an amazing job with the antiquated dress, carefully altering each piece of lace, spending time on every inch of the dress. I went in for several fittings until the dress was perfect. Nancy encouraged me to explore changes if something wasn't quite right, which is how the dress became the most talked about topic of my wedding. I love Nancy and would recommend her to any bride!

Nancy did such an amazing job on my dress. Completely redesigned my A-line gown into a sleek trumpet gown. She listened to everything I wanted and kept altering it until it was absolutely perfect!! She took such care with the delicate tulle and lace. I loved my dress. My only complaint is that the bustle hooks for the liner AND the tulle fell off after 15 MINUTES of being hooked. That kept me carrying the train of my dress for dancing and the rest of the night, which was very upsetting and annoying... Besides the bustle problem, she was so helpful and wonderful. I had the best experience with Nancy. As an out of town right, Nancy was very flexible with my schedule. I didn't do a traditional wedding dress, but Nancy was a great contributor to my vision.

It is so hard to find a plus size wedding dress that isn't ugly. When I saw A Bridal Blossom I was thinking, "I won't find the dress of my dreams in this little house." Yea, I was TOTALLY wrong. All the dresses in there are beautiful and they have a lot of plus size dresses that are original and gorgeous!!!! Nancy was amazing at altering my dress and I looked incredible on my wedding day! I also got my veils there and my jewelry. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone because it is perfect!

I got my dress altered here and nancy was wonderful. She did a great job fixing the bust of my dress and tightening the straps. The bustle was a little too long and we had a hard time with the first dance, but everything else was perfect. She was very personable and flexible with scheduling. I would definitely advise brides to go to her!

Overall, Nancy Dodd of Bridal Blossom was great! The best part about her shop is that she gives you undivided attention. This is something that you have to fight for in any other bridal store but it seems that is Nancy's first priority. She also does not shy away from custom pieces, which is a must when it's your wedding!

I bought my dress and had it altered at a bridal blossom. Nancy the owner altered my dress. She made sure I was very happy. She did have a few scatter brained moments, but I think wedding energy brings that feeling sometimes. She reconstructed my dress; changing it to a sweetheart neckline, adding a French bustle, hemming, and taking it in all over the place. She did a great job!!!!

I was very disappointed with the customer service and the quality of the work. I was also extremely disappointed in the condition in which the dress was given to me.

I found my dream dress 20 days before my wedding! Nancy altered it for me and ruined the look of the dress. I am not happy with the alterations - plus, they were very expensive. I wish I had more time so that I could have taken it elsewhere to get it fixed before the wedding. I do not like how my wedding dress looked like on my wedding day. It's a real shame too because it was nice working with her.

Working with Nancy was the most horrible experience in all of the wedding planning. She pretty much ruined my wedding dress. I wanted a hem and cap sleeves attached to my dress. She purchased the material for the sleeves for me, but did not provide us with a reciept when we had to pay her back. She made cap sleeves for my dress that did not flow with the style. Also, later when the sleeves fell apart we discovered that the material she used was not the silk satin she said it was and had charged us for. I was able to get twice as much REAL silk satin for over half the price she had charged us when I purchased material for my next round of sleeves with my second alterations lady. Also, we thought Nancy had done a good job with the hem of my designer dress, however, when she hemmed it she did not replace the horse hair that helped it hang correctly. Also, some of the rouching in my dress had come undone and she fixed it incorrectly. Instead of re-tacking to the underskirt she was folding the dress on to itself and tacked it to the outerskirt. My mom, 3 days before the wedding spent hours under my dress fixing the mistakes we had paid for, only to realize that because Nancy had fixed the tacking incorrectly before she hemmed, the hem was now off balance and there was nothing we could do about it. It was about an inch above my toes on one side. We did get some of our money back for some of her mistakes without much problem.

Nancy has an amazing selection of dresses and super mad skills in alterations and making dreams come true! I have recently worked with her and highlighted some great dresses in her shop as well as created some art for her to hang on the wall in the shop. She's here to help you on your big day! So give her a call!

We love Nancy and A Bridal Blossom Boutique, they have some very nice gowns and if you need something adjusted or added to personalize it they can do that too!
