Ron was a pleasure to work with! He did an excellent job communicating with us prior to the wedding. He did provide our ceremony music and spent time to discuss with us at what point in the songs we'd like to fade the music out. During the reception, he respected our wishes as to what type of music we wanted played. All announcements were made just as requested. Many of our guests commented about enjoying the services he provided. We will recommend Ron Ralph to anyone we come into contact with who is looking for a professional music presentation for their event!

I would say that a large part of our wedding being such a HUGE success was because of the excellent service we received from Ron. There was never a dull moment through out the evening and he had the music timed beautifully with each part of the evening. He was absolutely wonderful!!!

WOW! This guy is awesome! We met just a few times to go over the song lists, contracts, requests, and so on. After every meeting my fiance and I felt like we could just trust him and worry about other things. There was never any doubts about his professionalism, talent, or experience.
He showed up, set up, and did his thing and I never even had to worry about music or ques - which is nice since on the day you worry about EVERYTHING!
He played the songs we wanted and most importantly did not play the songs we hated (Chicken Dance anyone?!) He let us chosse the type of music for the ceremony, cocktails, dinner, and dancing.
The DJ, Ron, was so on top of everything and I think that is the main reason the whole night flowed so smoothly. I was wondering how well the transitions between the toasts, cake, first dance, garter toss, bouquet toss, etc would go but because of Ron, and his experience, they went off with out a hitch.
Call this guy up and you will never have to worry about it again! He does it ALL!

Ron Ralph was very professional and affordable. He provided a 10 pg reception planner that outlined exactly the information needed for him to make my reception flow effortlessly. I set forth the songs that I wanted and he made the rest happen. He had a very good selection of songs to play and incorporated nearly every request for songs that I asked. I hired Ron for my wedding reception. I initially heard of Ron's company 6 years ago from my cousin's wedding. I was unable to attend the event, but my family had nothing but amazing reviews of their DJ. I knew when it was time to plan for my wedding I wanted Ron with A DJ To Go to be a part of it. Ron was an absolute pleasure to work with. He is not only talented at what he does but he takes great pride in making sure that his clients get exaclty what they ask for and more. He always met with me at my convience and even allowed me to change the date I had booked with him without any problems. Ron arrived early and was very professionally dressed. His equipment was of the highest quality. I was particulary pleased with his music library. My guests were able to request any song they wanted and Ron was able to play it. Ron also has a feel for his audiences. I did not choose a list of particular songs that I wanted played because I knew that Ron would be a much better judge at determining what my guests wanted to hear. He did a fantastic job. The dance floor was always filled with guests of all ages.
Besides the music, Ron also has a variety of fun games to add a little flare to your event. This was definitely the talk of my reception.
Ron was not just a great DJ, he also acted as an wonderful reception director. Ron notified me, my husband, and all my guests when each event would take place throughout the reception. He is definitely the reason my reception ran flawlessly.
I received so many compliments from my guests about how much fun they had at my wedding reception. I even had 4 of my friends book with him for their wedding receptions after they saw or heard reviews from mine. One who called him that night to book!

He really followed our request for type of music, and music not to play. Very professional. He kept the party going which was impressive since the wedding started at 2 and ended at 1130. Not the kind of DJ that will play "last Dance" for the last song- If you know what I mean! Great speakers too.

Ron is tied with our Photographer for being the absolute BEST vendor we worked with while planning our wedding. He was highly professional, knew what he was doing, and was so accommodating to our wishes. Every time I emailed or called him with a quesiton he was quick to respond and awesome at offering advice. It was such a relief to work with someone who not only didn't ADD to my stress, but actually helped alleviate some of it!
Ron was absolutely top-notch at the reception and the perfect songs--our dance floor was never empty. Also, he was very classy. No cheesy announcements or ridiculousness. I give him my very highest recommendation.

I recommend him to anyone who is looking for a fun and classy wedding reception. A DJ can really make or break the party, and he helped make ours!
His technology is incredible and takes up very little space. He has a bose system that gives amazing sound and he only needs a small table for set up space. He can get any song you could possilbe want within minutes. His price is reasonable - under $1000/4 hours. I could not have asked for any more in a DJ. He's great!

Since DJ's can make or break a wedding, I was very particular about the mannerism, personality, and professionalism of the DJ. From the 1st phone conversation I was immediately impressed with Ron and that he could handle the job well. But, for our initial consultation I came frustrated and tired caring the planning burden. I had no experience with planning things like this and I couldn't tell him what needed to happen when or visa versa. Ron handed me a reception plan and said fill in the blanks and I'll do the rest. The planning burden was lifted! By the end of that meeting, I had full confidence in Ron and that pleasing the crowd and me was his specialty. As I started filling in the information of how I wanted to enter the reception, what genre of songs to be played during the dinner, and what dance songs NOT to be played (the chicken dance), I really started seeing the reception develop. Ron showed my guest a great time and he earned a five star rating from my opinion.
(By the way I still have people come up to me and tell me I had the funnest reception ever.)

I don't know who this bride is. Her wedding date of 5/22/08 would have been on a Thursday night. I did not do any weddings last year on a Thursday night, let alone had any bride with her name come close to 5/22/08. This is a fraudulent listing and should be removed ASAP!

He called my husband by the wrong name...three times! My videographer RAN over to him to correct him after our first dance. UNBELIEVABLE!!!! I heard nothing but good things...but, he did not play the music that I asked him to play...in writing. I was specific about several songs. I did not get the majority of them. I was very unhappy with his service. Again, he called my husband of 15 minutes the WRONG name...3 times!!! TERRIBLE!!!!

She hired a wedding coordinator who did not give me their new married names, First Dance Song, and a music song list until the morning of the wedding, just prior to me leaving for the event. I contacted Traci numerous times prior to the event for the planner and names, but she procrastinated. Traci felt it was more important to talk to the coordinator rather than to me for music and a sequence of events. Yes, I admit I called the groom the wrong name, but just once, not three times as she claims. That's where Pre-Planning Prevents Poor Performance comes in. And the pre-planning was poor on the bride's part, not mine. I specifically told Traci that I needed the 10 page wedding planner I provided her back to me 2-3 weeks prior to her wedding. Each time I contacted her, she told me she wasn't done filling them out yet...all the way up until I never received them because she didn't fill them out, As I stated, she talked to her wedding coordinator, who emailed me the day of the wedding just prior to me leaving for the event.
We had the pleasure of working with Ron at a recent wedding at the Hilton Sandestin. He makes our job so easy! Thank you Ron, for being you and making it such a pleasure :)

Welcome!! My name is Ron Ralph, and I'm the owner and only DJ of A DJ To Go based in Pensacola, FL. I have been a Professional Mobile DJ since 1993. I specialize in weddings and receptions. I will personally work with you to help you design the wedding of your dreams, from the time your guests arrive, until they leave. I will help you out with every aspect of pre-planning throughout the entire reception, ensuring you have a well run, well announced wedding reception. You may choose the music you'd like to hear as well as let me know things you don't want to hear. I will act as your event planner, so you won't need to hire a day of wedding planner for the reception as I'll take care of all the details for you. I will act as your Master of Ceremonies, announcing and directing all of your guests, so they will not question what is going to happen and when. Adding Uplighting to your reception transforms your room from ordinary to extraordinary!! The LED Uplighting fixtures don't give off any hea and consume very little electricityt, so they are completely safe. No need for children playing with them and burning their hands. The LED Dance Floor Lighting provides color on the dance floor. I have several different types of lights to create a club type of atmosphere.
If you're having a video montage, I have a 5' x 7' transparent front/rear screen and a short throw projector i use to project your images from the back of the screen, so the projector is never in the way. I only need 4' from the back wall to the screen, so it will not take up a lot of your area.
Karaoke and Dance Music Videos are also offered and are a combined add-on. I have well over 10K Karaoke songs from current hits, to those time-tested songs that everyone loves to sing.
For music equipment, I only use top of the line equipment for optimal sound quality, from Bose speakers, to Shure wireless microphones.
I can provide ceremony music as well as I have a satellite sound system for your off-location ceremony, such as on the beach. Wireless lapel microphones are placed on the officiator and groom. Between both microphones, the bride's voice can be picked up, so everyone will hear the wedding vows. I also have an additional hand held wireless microphone available in case someone will sing or say a separate prayer.

FAQ for A DJ TO GO
Cheap isn't good, and good isn't cheap- To run a successful DJ service, a DJ needs to make a certain amount of money to cover expenses and make a profit.
Always ask for references- As a minimum, the DJ you're considering should provide you with the names and phone numbers of at least three brides and grooms of the most recent weddings they performed at. You should also ask what wedding vendors recommend them, and then call those wedding vendors.
Are they Licensed and Insured? The DJ service you're considering should be licensed in their county and state. They should also have Liability Insurance. Don't take their word for it. Ask to see proof before hiring them.
Never use an Ipod for your wedding. It will turn into a nightmare!!
The DJ you hire will make or break your event. When considering DJ's, never hire the cheapest one base on price alone. You should budget a minimum of $800 and up for a qualified Mobile DJ.
